joining the less than 1% of 18–19-year-olds in the U.S. who have a bachelor’s degree 🤍

Today, I graduated college at 19, and yet I still remember sitting at my kitchen table in 8th grade wondering how I could graduate high school with my associate’s degree, graduate college early, and save as much money as possible while doing it. Back then, it felt huge and honestly a little impossible, but I knew I wanted to take the leap anyway.

There were definitely moments during full-time PSEO when I questioned whether all the stress, long days, and sacrifices would truly amount to something meaningful. People will tell you not to do the hard things. They’ll tell you you’re going to miss out, that it’s too much, that it’s not worth it. And yes, it can be scary in the moment. But it’s all what you make of it.

Today, standing here with so much gratitude for my two years at St. Thomas, I can wholeheartedly say every difficult moment was worth it. Choosing this path pushed me in ways I never expected, but it also gave me experiences, growth, opportunities, and freedom I’ll carry with me forever. Saving so much money and getting to start my life early made every sacrifice worth it.

I’m endlessly thankful for every person who supported me, every lesson that shaped me, every opportunity that challenged me, and every setback that taught me resilience. None of this happened alone, and I don’t take a single part of the journey for granted.
