Bronze! Set his goal for top ten and smashed it. by @jp_at_brownssports

Heather brings the watts. We bring the aero. 💨
— we just cleaned up the front end to make it even sleeker, cleaner, and more aero.

(Water bottle set up a little different for race day, still deciding on front wheel depth based on wind conditions, and adjusted the fit on the new aero bars a bit after these photos where taken etc. etc. But you get the idea.)

Can SILCA finally dethrone the Continental GP5000? 👑

The new SILCA Protocol RCR just landed at Brown’s and there’s some genuinely interesting tech here.

• CarbonBead BeadLock — SILCA says the carbon-fibre bead won’t stretch like a traditional Kevlar bead
• New Pulsar rubber/silica race compound
• 120 TPI race casing
• 29 / 34 / 38 mm sizes
• The 29 mm is designed around modern 25 mm internal-width rims
• 290 g claimed weight for the 29 mm
• Tubeless ready and designed around the lower pressures we’re now running on wider rims

SILCA is making some big speed claims. Their own testing of the 38 mm RCR showed 31.7 W vs 40.5 W for a 38 mm Vittoria Corsa Pro Control under the same test — although we’re still interested in seeing more independent testing against the benchmark GP5000 S TR.

So what do you think — enough to get you off the GP5000, or does Continental still own the crown? 👇

ONTARIO PROVINCIAL CHAMPIONS 🏆💙

What a season for the Mimico U11-2 boys.

An 18-game unbeaten streak, an incredible group of kids, coaches and parents — and now Ontario Provincial Champions.

This one was especially sweet. We lost to this same team in the Stayner tournament final, then got another shot at them in the Provincial Championship game. It was an absolute battle, back and forth right to the end.

So proud of Wesley. His coaches kept commenting on his defensive play throughout the tournament, and when the games were on the line, they trusted him to be out there — including the final minutes of the championship game. As a parent, seeing your kid earn that kind of trust means a lot.

And of course The Wall of Hank 🧱🥍 — what a tournament in net! He stole us a few games!

A huge thank-you to coaches Adam Rivers, Joel Toguri, Colin Brazel and Sean Brazel, and manager Helen Toguri. This coaching staff was incredible all season. They put the team first, treated every kid fairly and created a group that genuinely played for each other. That was a huge part of this championship.

And to the parents — what a group. We had an absolute blast all season.

Bleed Blue. 💙
No Bad Days.
