Jefferson Performing Arts is seeking a Stage Manager and a male ballet dancer for our production of Anastasia which runs April 9-22 in Metairie and a one show tour to the Columbia Theatre in Hammond.

A HUGE thank you to Mrs. Grace Beard for leading an incredible Improv Workshop with our JPA Theatre Kids! this weekend! 💜

Our young performers spent the workshop thinking on their feet, stepping outside their comfort zones, and learning that sometimes the best moments on stage are the ones you don’t plan!

Throughout the workshop, students explored the fundamentals of improvisational theatre, including the power of “Yes, And,” making bold character choices, trusting their instincts, actively listening to their scene partners, and building stories together through collaboration.

Most importantly, they learned that improv isn’t about having the funniest answer or the perfect idea. It’s about confidence, creativity, teamwork, and supporting one another on stage.

Thank you, Mrs. Grace, for sharing your knowledge, creativity, and passion for theatre with our students! We’re so grateful to have wonderful teaching artists helping our young performers grow both on and off the stage. 💜
