A picture can tell 1,000 words… 👀🔧

This oil filter is out of our own 1,000HP Falcon, running a freshly built motor after being put through its paces at a week-long event.

With any fresh engine — especially one making this sort of power — cutting open the oil filter can tell you a lot about what’s going on inside the engine.

It allows us to inspect what the filter has caught and keep an eye on the motor after its first proper workout.

Making power is one thing. Keeping it reliable is another. 💪 taken in Central Coast, NSW by @jpb_mobilemechanical

With the rain putting a hold on some of the mobile work, we’re getting stuck into some engine building.

💥 Barra carnage! 💥

Jesse’s XR6 Turbo came to us with a nasty engine knock.

After diagnosing the issue and tearing the engine down, we found:
🔧 Bent conrod on cylinder 1
🔧 Piston contacting the crankshaft counterweight
🔧 Broken ringlands on 5 pistons
🔧 Excessive blow-by

Safe to say this one needed more than a quick fix. 😬

Now it’s time for the fun part… this Barra is getting rebuilt with a full Nitto Performance Engineering rotating assembly. 💪

Big things are coming for this build, and we’ll be bringing you along for the journey.

🛠️ Little brake job, big difference

Rear drum brakes don’t get much love… until they stop working 😅

This one just needed a clean & adjust 👇
❌ Weak handbrake
❌ Uneven braking

Now:
✅ Handbrake working properly
✅ Smooth, even brakes

👉 Should be checked, cleaned & adjusted every service
