Aguille DeLamone - A dream line - 🇨🇭🏔️🇨🇭

First saw @jeremyjones & @xavierdelerue ride this in the movie deeper and little Juan had his mind blown. The most beautiful curving steep face propped up above a 2500 ft cliff and a twisted glacier like something out of a Dr. Seuss book.

14 years later @arnaumartine and I rode it in stable pow on a calm, sunny day.

I couldn’t have asked for anything more from the alps. Snowboard travel can be a gamble and sometimes like a few years back in Alaska, you put all your soul, time and money into a trip and come back with nothing. It can be devastating but it’s a risk you still gotta take.

Things couldn’t have been more different this time. New friends, mind blowing days in the mountains, peaceful rest days and beauty around every corner. So so grateful and I will be back 🙏🏼❤️ taken in Switzerland by @jpbakers

Really incredible day getting on Pinball Alley via the rare spine-line entrance. Feels good to have the first spicy line of my film project behind me! 🙏

This year I’ll be attempting to finish riding all 90 lines in the chuting gallery and make an exciting freeride film about it. It’s my baby and I’m 100% committed on it. Hope you’ll enjoy the end-result down the road. In the 6 years I’ve been in the wasatch I’ve never seen it snow this much by January and we’re only getting started ❤️‍🔥🤟❤️‍🔥

“The Diving Board” (Broads Fork)

It’s been two weeks since the last snowfall and we’re still riding powder in the alpine! There’s some ice too…

@miles_clark and I started our day with this big and complex line - The main factor being creating an uptrack that limited our exposure to the widespread glide avalanche hazards in this zone.

Had to take a few more laps in the powder after, finding beautiful, featured zones that brought us to about 6 and half thousand vert for the day and for now, this concludes the start of the season splitboarding session for me.

So hyped to be progressing more than ever at 31 years old, doing bigger days out and bringing some freestyle to true big mountain terrain! This sport just keeps on giving.

Brown to blower in a week!

Scary start to winter in the Wasatch with record-breaking warm days in December and barely any snow in the mountains but we’re back now.

Climate change is undeniable for anyone living in tune with the flow of winter storms. Winters are less predictable, so when things line up, it’s always worth paying attention, showing up and giving it your best shot. taken in Utah by @jpbakers

Aguille de Blatierre - Contamines Couloir ⛏️🏔️

A very exposed drop-in to a very long run.

Surrounded by massive spires, climbing up that 60 degree knife edge in pow hanging onto the edge of a 2 thousand foot drop definitely gave me that full Chamonix experience I didn’t even know that I needed.

First line in The Alps - Point Yeld - 🇫🇷

The mountains are gargantuan here. Some rise 11,000 feet out of the valley. It’s beautiful and overwhelming.

The tram shoots 8000ft out of the valley, up a cliff face and we stay the night at the cosmiques hut. We watch the sun set over a sea of clouds below us and it looks like you’re up in an airplane.

In the morning, the orange glow slowly fills the sky and silhouettes endless rock spires that fill the horizon to the north as we set out on the glacier. We traverse across, climb up a steep slope, ride across a hanging glacier and rock climb our way up to our peak. I ride down in settled powder, the sluff cascades into the gully on the left and the blue ice crux is covered nicely. We ski out the mer de glass glacier for miles to its terminus, catch a tram up to the train that takes you back to town and walk through the happy streets. It feels like a proper first mission in Chamonix.

Lots of sun and little refreshes up high in the afternoons. Conditions are good. We’ll see what’s next.
