Wedding dress delivery by Venus ✨

Our bride @xomariacarolina booked us for gown steaming before the big day and preservation afterward.

We picked up and delivered her gown both ways, while Venus supervised the entire operation and handled all the heavy lifting. (At least that’s what she tells everyone.)

Perfect day with my loves! Hemmed @jpguior trousers and Venus’ dress. Then went to get pictures with Venus’ cousins and watched them play and be kids. 🤍

We had the opportunity to work on @marcoantoniosolis_oficial and @cristy_solis’ Latin Grammy’s alterations!

We received the call yesterday from our dear friend Larissa to see if we were available to tailor their looks and the rest was history.

For Cristian Solis, we did a hem on the dress and the overskirt, as well as let out the hips a bit. We had to shorten all of the layers of crinoline inside, balance the skirt, and shorten the train a bit. For Marco Antonio Solís, we hemmed his trousers for both the red carpet and for his performance outfit.

This work was done by one of our incredible tailors, Lily! Thanks to her sharp eye, quick hands, and years of experience we were able to meet their deadline and perfect their looks!

This was such an honor to work on! 🙏🏼

There’s two things our hearts always ache for:

1. NYC
2. Fashion

We presented one of our collections in NYFW back in 2022 for @flordelizguior and felt right at home. We have put a bit of a pause on our fashion house for a couple of reasons:

1. We put more focus on our other baby @alteredbridelv.
2. We just recently had our own first baby girl named Venus.
3. We felt like we were becoming too commercial and were feeling burnt out.

When you create season after season in a very niche market, it’s challenging to find your crowd especially with brands like SHEIN and Amazon existing and the economy with where it’s at.

We have been talking about resuscitating FDL again but exclusively focusing on our passion - leather! We don’t know when that will be but we are thinking of injecting it with some love next year.

So, if you’ve missed us, know we’ll be cooking back up again in 2026! 🤘🖤⚡️ taken in Cubico by @jpguior
