Today my Pop pop is celebrating his first birthday in heaven. I miss watching him putter around in the yard or drive my mom crazy by taking out the riding mower in the heat of the day. I miss watching him walk into the ocean with the confidence of someone who knows he belongs there. I miss watching my daughter snuggle up with her great grandfather on the recliner and play games on his iPad and take naps together. And, most of all I miss his hugs and our chats. Today I’m looking forward to my first “Pop Pop hug” in Eternity a little extra. by @jpilpe

Some highlights from the second half of our trip to the US. I’m terrible about remembering to take pictures and there were so many more beloved friends and family we got the chance to see, it was such a blessing! Roughly 2,479 miles from FL to NY and back again… hopefully not doing that again any time soon! by @jpilpe
