A weenie bit older 🌭🎂🤍

This birthday was one I’ll never forget.

To say the last few weeks have been heavy would be an understatement. When it felt like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders, my best friend quietly went into full planning mode and made sure I had something beautiful to look forward to. Every detail, every surprise, every thoughtful moment… she made it all happen.

She somehow even coordinated with Adam to fly across the country and completely surprise me. I still can’t believe you pulled that off 😭✈️

And if that wasn’t enough, I was surprised by another one of my favorite humans who showed up with her newborn/our new little bestie gal. My heart absolutely exploded.

I don’t think I’ll ever have the words to express how loved, seen, and cared for you all made me feel. Thank you for reminding me that even during life’s hardest seasons, there is still so much joy to celebrate.

Today would have been my grandma’s 93rd birthday.

These past few weeks have been some of the hardest of my life, and it’s why I’ve been so quiet.

On Sunday, February 11th, both of my grandparents passed away from 2 totally unrelated illnesses. My grandma passed gracefully at 5:40 AM, then my grandpa went peacefully at 6:40 PM. They just couldn’t stand to be apart.

Inang and Tatang… The two of you are proof perfect that true, deep, and real love exists. That though life can be hard, you can stand to face the toughest battles with love on your side. That with faith and family, you can withstand any storm. And with the grace of God, you are never alone.

Inang, happy heavenly birthday. 🕊️

Life comes at you fast and this year was no exception.

It brought me so many challenges and lessons, but so much growth and love. I can’t believe I have so many beautiful people in my life with the biggest hearts that care for me the way they do.
So much so, a bunch of them went all the way to the desert in 100+ degree weather to celebrate my birthday with me!

It’s difficult to find any words to describe what an unexpected and tragic loss this is. A bright and beautiful light taken from us way too soon.

Evan- I know you’ll forever be with us every step of the way, laughing alongside us as we try and sneak past security in clubs (and failing while @stephybaby and @__.sarahmichelle.__ left us lol) popping bottles on boats, and raging with us at shows. Game nights, theme park adventures, and dinner parties will never be the same without you. I promise to forever make your famous mac n cheese, even though it has never and will never taste as good as when you make it.

As you may or may not know (which to be honest, would be crazy if you didn’t already know lol) I’ve been in school for the past two years. When the pandemic hit, I was furloughed from my job and chose to pivot into healthcare. I absolutely loved working in events and entertainment, and I still do, but I’d also been longing for a career where I could truly make a REAL difference. Having a family where majority work in healthcare, I knew I’d end up here sooner or later!

I’m thrilled to say that I have officially graduated from my Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and have accepted a position at my clinical site, @kindbody

Kindbody is transforming the women's health and fertility space and I'm so stoked to be a part of it.

Today my Lolo (grandpa) turned 93!!!! ❤️
When I was born, this man immigrated from the Philippines to help my parents (and my grandma who already came over when my brother was born) raise us into the fine human beings you see today 😁 and I love him more than life! Cheers to 93 years, tatang! by @jpobes
