We received this testimonial from one of our members and wanted to share. It is amazing to watch people join and make progress, watch people commit to something that is out their comfort zone and watch them flourish.

This person has truly put the work in, has shown the most important thing, consistency - this is what truly builds your health, strength and fitness. Consistently show up, and you will see the changes you want. This is how you build a lifestyle and support your longevity.

We are beyond proud of this member and love watching them progress - not just in the gym, but looking at their health and well-being as a whole, embracing other practices like ice baths and breathing - looking forward to seeing what the next year brings! by @jprawlinson_pt

The ice baths hit differently in winter ❄️❄️❄️

Feeling incredible after todays cacao fuelled breath work session with @gymcatsfamily @misscharlottesandall @jamie_at_gymcats & @rileyhead_ followed up with a dunk into 50kg worth of ice 🧊🧊🧊

Self-care Sundays!

EFT, Cacao supplied by @josies_path , a deep breath work session from the @breathewithniall app, followed by a freezing ice bath has got me feeling fresh!

All in the great company of @rileyhead_ @gymcatsfamily @jamie_at_gymcats

Got me ready for another busy week of PT sessions, gym sessions and classes!

Had an amazing experience at the Gymcats retreat.

Experiencing the Wim Hof method for the first time has really left an impression on me and I’ll definitely be looking to continue the practice in day to day life and future retreats.

A huge thank you to @gymcatsfamily & @jamie_at_gymcats for organising such an incredible weekend of ice baths, animal flow, delicious healthy food, mindful eating, breathing sessions, hot tubs, cacao ceremonies, woodland walks, play sessions and so much more!

A big thanks also @breathewithniall & @josies_path for running the Wim Hof method sessions and allowing me to go deep and experience a physical, mental and emotional state that I’ve never previously reached.

And a final thanks to @themindbodysoulcollective_ for making the most delicious, healthy food and teaching us about mindful eating!

See you all next year!

The @gymcatsfamily day retreat on Saturday was the perfect tonic to the battering my body took on the S&C course on Friday.

Ice bath’s, restorative yoga, breathing sessions, meditative walks and great food was the perfect reset before another week of hard training 💪

Big thanks to @misscharlottesandall @jamie_at_gymcats @metanoiayoga

Another day, another course.

This time it was Strength & Conditioning with @toryeyre_22 @mulupt @mattmccan @pull3n by @eleiko_uk @davidlloyduk

Had a great time, got absolutely beasted and took away some brilliant training techniques for clients who are looking to improve their strength, conditioning and/or overall effectiveness of their sessions.

P.s I’m still in bits two days later 😂😭

Amazing day learning the fundamentals of biomechanics on Thursday.

Picked up some great techniques for assessing, identifying and correcting many common postural issues.

Thank you @biomechanics_education

Deload week means a great opportunity to drop weight and really focus on pumping some blood into the muscles.

This clip from yesterdays leg session finisher, shows me fully maxing out the range of the movement (to my hips best ability) with a quad burning controlled tempo.

Too often do I see people loading excessive amounts of weight on this bit of kit and thrashing out half or more commonly three quarter reps. Do yourselves, muscles and strength a favour… lighten the weight, work to full range, get the resulting progressions and increase your resistance from there.

Your ego will hate you in the short term but love you in the long term.

Wrist wraps - if you have back/pull sessions in your training split and you feel forearm fatigue creeping in as the session progresses, it’s time to buy some wraps.

Your forearms will no longer limit your session and you’ll instantly be able to progress whether your focus is on strength or muscle gain.

Instant back progress for less than a tenner. No brainer. Get involved.

Another game changer… using wrist straps for cable lateral raises.

I didn’t realise how much my grip limited my ability to progress with this exercise.

I can handle double the resistance just by making this change, looking forward to see how far I can progress with this movement now I’m truly working my delts without limitation.
