@Vanssurfevents Pipe Masters Invitation accepted! It is an honor to receive an invite this year. I never thought I would have the opportunity to surf Pipe in a heat with only a few guys out. Just to be a part of this event feels like a win, hopefully I can harness my inner Jeff Crawford and this Florida boy can get lucky enough to snag a few more waves like this!

Came in from this wave of a lifetime to the @jaguars scoring a touchdown with 3 mins left and then kicking a field goal with 3 seconds left to win the game. Unbelievable evening! ✨ 🐆 🌊 🍻 🌴

The perks of running the @loggerheadclassic and having to be the first one on the beach - catching a few at sunrise before the event starts on one of the 60s boards.

Not the perks - having to be the first one on the beach before the sun rises after @weschiller plays Freebird the night before at @vooswar and you’re front row hammered drunk. And being glued to the scaffold on the best day of waves the pier has seen all year.

In all seriousness though, I still can’t believe how blessed we were with the weather and waves Loggerhead weekend.

After a long, hot, flat summer, Jacksonville Beach really showed out. Everyone who traveled in got a little taste of a classic North Florida Nor’easter, the first breaths of fall finally broke our insane heat wave, and the weather and conditions just kept getting better day after day.

By Sunday, we ended up with what was probably the best day of waves Jacksonville Beach Pier has seen all year - and honestly some of the best longboard waves I’ve ever seen for a contest, with some of the best surfing to boot. The way everything came together that weekend, and especially that final day, it was hard not to feel like @yam.wisman was watching over us and had a little something to do with it.

It reminded me a lot of the first Duct Tape in Virginia Beach, when the waves pumped the entire ECSC weekend and really showed out for the @joeljitsu Duct Tape Invitational. It’s rare that the East Coast lights up like that, but pretty special when it does.

Anyways, thank you to everyone who traveled from near and far to be a part of it and make the weekend what it was. I think it’s undeniable - this was the best Loggerhead yet.

It may have taken a few years off my life, but I love this town and I love this community. And it is always worth it. Thank you to everyone that contributed!

Now, back to selling boats with @offthehookyachts - who also sponsored Loggerhead this year and came in clutch when needed!

I’ve got a few new listings incoming, including a nice, newly re-powered 34 @intrepidpowerboats and a fully loaded 28 @southportboats that you’ll be seeing soon.

To the people you paddle out with, watch the sunrise with, or lose an afternoon talking story with in the parking lot.

Some familiar faces. Some you’re glad you finally met.

To everyone who showed up for the Loggerhead, in the water and on the sand, thanks for being part of it. It’s good to keep this many good people in one place for a while.

Thank you! Thank you @jquinny and @loggerheadclassic for inviting us. A weekend full of super fun surf, epic beach hangs with some amazing humans, and well curated evening events filled with stellar vibes. The surf community showed up in force.

We raised 1050$ for @georgiaseaturtlecenter. So thank you to everyone who came by , contributed, and welcome to Morning Ripped family.
Special thanks to @rymontez and @saxon___wilson Saxon. The limited T we did for the event was a major part of our success!

The turtles are thankful!

@hotelpalms, once again thank you for the great lodging and good vibes. You guys are always on point.

The Yam Creativity Award holds a little more weight for us.

Created in memory of our friend Yam, it honors the creativity, joy, and generosity of spirit we want to keep alive in our surf community. Finding your own way on a wave. Sharing the stoke. Having the kind of fun that makes everyone around you feel it, too.

To this year’s winners: @cormaccove and @lilymay182 thank you for bringing that spirit to the Loggerhead Classic. Your surfing gave us something to celebrate, and a beautiful way to remember our friend.

We wish @yam.wisman were here to share it with us. It means a lot to see his name attached to something that brings people so much joy.
