Proud of my son, Eric “Skywalker Jr.”, as he heads into tomorrow’s Fairground Throwdown in Deming, New Mexico. Fights start at 4 p.m. Coming off a win, he’s gaining confidence and continuing the family legacy of his great-uncle, two-division world champion and Hall of Famer Bobby “Schoolboy” Chacon.

Much credit to his lead coach, Frank Armijo of Duke City Underdogs, for helping develop Eric. As his father and coach, I’m proud of his progress. His sister Joyce The School Girl also is doing real good in the sport. Proud of my family and the work they’re putting in.

Donald Sanchez Promotions delivered a great two-day amateur boxing event at Overtime Sports Bar & Grill. Eric Skywalker Jr. came up short in a hard-fought split decision, but every fight is a learning experience. He’s still growing as a boxer, and we’re proud of his effort, heart, and determination. We’ll be back stronger.

🥊 4 Years in the Making 🥊
The journey has just begun. Watching my kids grow in this sport has been one of the greatest experiences of my life. To every parent out there — don't give up on your kids. Stay in their corner, always. 🙏
Introducing "The Schoolgirl" 👊🏽 — named after my uncle, the legendary 2x WBC World Champion & Hall of Famer, Bobby "The Schoolboy" Chacon — and she carries that same fire and aggression that made him great.
And my son, Skywalker Jr. ⭐ — slick, smooth, and defensively gifted — a whole different style, but just as special and just as dangerous.
Shoutout to all the amazing coaches and dedicated parents in the boxing community — you inspire me every single day to pour into my kids and others around us. 💪🏽
