In Viking lore, there was a legendary warrior named Björn who was given the name “Ironside” to describe his strength in battle and his overall resilience. He is said to walk into any conflict and come out unharmed. I got this tattooed on me, cause while I may not have walked into physical battles or fought wars, I have dealt with my own inner struggles. Some of which took me to really dark places. But despite that, I fought through it and came back stronger. I wear this name as a reminder that these battles won’t kill me. Never shall my own blood be spilled in the struggles I deal with. Your mental health is important. Take it seriously and fight through it. Reach out to someone if you ever need someone to hear your plight and let them be your shield wall. We are all descendants of warriors. Remember that. Come out on top. No matter how you have to do it. If I am to make it to this gentleman’s age, this is PRECISELY where I want to be. @kutztownkarnagefest was an absolute blast. And happy to have been invited back for my second year to capture the magic. Plenty more to say, and plenty more to come. Please follow the festival page and @austin.roland.music for updates about what was the latest Karnagefest, and the one coming next year! Big things coming…or whatever the local bands say. So, come hell or high water I am going to will this into existence. I’m hoping to put a show together for the weekend following my birthday (either 4/23 or 4/24). HOWEVER, I am not going to get the bands lined up or make the full flyer without getting my ducks in a row first (obviously). So the main hurdle is a reasonable venue and the financials. I have a few venues noted but I’d like to have eyes on more. Ideally in any of the following areas; Shamokin Danville (1 Noted) Bloomsburg (1 Noted) Selinsgrove Sunbury Milton (1 Noted) Pottsville I am also willing to go a little further out, but if possible I wanna bring our scene to areas we don’t see a lot of shows. If anyone has details, links, or can give me an idea for what the recommended venues need, I’ll make note of it. Kinda wanna get something announced during the holidays so…let’s work together! @theworldwithoutusofficial pictured for the algorithm gods. 📸 @keithchappellphotography #timeforashow #letsmakeithappen #concertpromoter #supportlocalmusic #metal taken in Pennsylvania by @jragnarok22
