This is so incredibly touching (& well done, @ashley.lynn.cameron)! 👏🏼

When I started my business 4 & 1/2 years ago, the goal wasn’t to become some huge company, or be published & chase public accolade. I left my ego at the door a looong time ago. The goal for this business is & has always been to simply improve people’s lives through the transformative power of a beautiful interior, that makes them FEEL GOOD, & is reflective of its occupants (not me). ❤️

I haven’t posted for awhile, due to a lot of changes in my life, as well as being crazy busy last year with amazing clients (thank you!). I won’t promise I’ll be hugely visible or consistent to appease the SM algorithm gods, as my priority is always to my clients first, but you may see me pop up a tiny bit more as I iron out some new & exciting changes. ✨ :))

Happy Friday, upcoming Labor Day, & have a wonderful long weekend!!
Jamie 😊

Happy day, marked by a ribbon cutting ceremony (complete with sparkling cider, cake & streamers!) at @capacificortho ‼️

So proud of our team, @dprconstruction, @wearerevelers, @kbmhogue & so many talented & dedicated consultants that made this little jewel of a project a huge success! It was wonderful after designing the lobby for California Pacific Ofthopaedic’s suite 715, to be asked to design the entire expansion space: suite, 707. I love how the rich colors, materials, furniture & artwork came out, & will be posting more images in the new year after we have it professionally shot. :)

Thank you again to CPO, DPR, KBM Hogue, & Revel for a fantastic project!!! 😃❤️

Absolutely enamored with this stunning tufted velvet sofa in such a fabulous shape, set off beautifully by a deep, forest green paint color & simplified with large scale artwork. I love a good white on white combo as much as the next designer (if it’s textural & accessorized), but be careful of playing it so safe that you lose a great opportunity for that WOW factor. 🔥

Great post on drape length, widths & alternate window covering suggestions. Agree & employ all of these tips myself! Installing your hardware closest to the ceiling tricks the eye & makes your space seem larger with more volume, & doesn’t chop up the room. Pinch pleat is one of my favorite styles or one that has deep folds. Don’t skimp on fabric quantity! ❤️

Hi! I haven’t disappeared, just on a social media respite while I focus on big deadlines!!

Loving & totally in lockstep with @hansloreidesign on making your kitchen & dining vibe like restaurants. And how do we do that? Lose the notion that everything has to be white, include darker & rich saturated colors, & add interesting details like hardware, lighting, decor & florals. Your environment needs to reflect YOU. Don’t be a prisoner of “resale” rules when it’s you & your family & guests who’ll be getting enjoyment out of these wonderful social spaces. ❤️

Hello, design fans! Sorry #not sorry for ghosting… it’s project crunch time at Chez Ray, & deadlines are top priority, so social media has to take one for the team. (Insert meme of cat furiously typing at keyboard) 😄

But enough of that ramble.. what do we have here with this gorg image? Crushing on some Midcentury Modern sexiness with the neutrals, clean forms & classic furniture. Who wants to write thank you cards at this desk spinning around in the Aluminum Group chair, while sipping an Aperol Spritz & listening to Sinatra? 👋🏼

I’m back! I’ve been busy on a big project & had to take a step back from posting, but wanted to share this candy-colored almost Wonka-esque design in South Korea! 🇰🇷 So charming & whimsical. 🍭

From the website: The highlight of the newly renovated space of The Hyundai Daegu is ‘The Forum created by artist & designer, Jaime Hayon. It is a 4.565m2 cultural space and cafe that occupies the entire floor at the top of the building.
The Forum consists of the Café Walking Cup, the Colosseum, an indoor plaza to host performances and lectures, and the Gates Garden, an outdoor sculpture park with seven large statues as tall as 9 meters.

Oh how beautiful! Kitchen design is such a powerful way to invest in a home (& YOURSELF), & gone are the all white lackluster designs that reigned supreme for so long, but a more human aesthetic that incorporates the owner’s personality & rich colors that MAKE you want to cook & spend quality time with family & friends… or just yourself. That’s the impact & beauty of good design: it affects your motivations & behavior DIRECTLY. ❤️ What are your favorite kitchen designs?
