Super excited to share our first downtown business partner Don’ya Ukraine’s Kitchen ( @ukraineskitchen ). Because of your support and added funds provided by Tricia from @bluegraphiteid, we were able to purchase $2000 worth of gift cards. This will allow us to give away FORTY lunches for 2 at Don’ya. Please stay tuned to @littlebrickyeg and @dogpatchyeg Instagram for how you can win once of the packages. Thank you Edmonton, you are truly the best! by @jrdownton

It is very sad to see what is happening to our Hospitality friends in Downtown Edmonton. So many talented and passionate people who help make downtown a special and vibrant place. Now, having to fight for their business life and increasingly (sadly) making the difficult decision to shut their doors. Not because they run a bad business, these are amazing people doing amazing things, but for reasons outside their control.

This is why this really hurts. As a passionate Edmontonian, everything these people do is what helps make Edmonton great.

In the River Valley we are not immune from this. If Downtown hurts, so does our businesses in the River Valley. But we know in our heart of hearts that it is important to stick together and find ways to support one another.

That is why starting today, we will be sharing a portion of our sales from Little Brick and Dogpatch with a downtown hospitality business every week. We will use our platforms to help share their story and purchase gift cards to be given away for you to come and visit their business and experience what makes them so great.

It’s not about helping us, its about helping ALL of US.

Edmonton, I love you. by @jrdownton
