Healing isn’t always loud. Sometimes it’s realizing something still hurts when you thought it wouldn’t anymore. Amen 🙏

The last several weeks has challenged me in ways I never expected ❤️‍🩹

This injury affected so much more than my head and back - it took my ability to work, Zumba, move the way I’m used to, sleep comfortably, and do so many of the everyday things I’ve always taken for granted. For someone whose life resolves around movement and helping others, being forced to stop was incredibly humbling.

There has been such a beautiful blessing in the middle of it all.

I learned how to ask for help and more importantly, how to receive it. And I got to experience just how incredible my friends can be when someone they care about is struggling. They showed up with their time, prayers, encouragement, resources, thoughtful gifts, and sometimes simply sitting with me when I needed someone 🙏

I will never forget the generosity and love that surrounded me during this time when I couldn’t do everything for myself.

I’m especially grateful for the nurse practitioner, orthopedic doctors, physical therapist for walking me through everything, truly listening, caring for me and helping me get through this journey. Having people in your corner who genuinely care about helping you heal makes all of the difference.

I wouldn’t of chosen this chapter but I’m grateful for what it has taught me, for every person who showed up, and for the reminder that sometimes strength isn’t pushing through - sometimes it’s allowing yourself to be supported.

Now little by little, I’m finding my way back to the life, movement, and friendships 🙏💜 taken in Peace of Heaven by @jrelyea24

Happy 70th Birthday to my beautiful mother who gave me life, loved me endlessly, and raised me into the woman I am today.

Mom, everything I am is because of you. Your strength, your warmth, your patience, and your love have carried me through every season of my life. You have given me more than I could ever put into words - guidance, comfort, wisdom, and a heart that knows how to love deeply because you showed me how.

Thank you for every sacrifice, every lesson, every hug, and every laugh.
You are my hero, my heart, and my forever home.

Happy 70th Birthday, mom. I love you more than words will ever be able to say, and I can’t wait to see you soon. 🙏💜🥹🕊️ by @jrelyea24

This is definitely a post I would’ve never thought I would ever make. The past few months have been a constant battle of frustration and confusion. I injuried my back, thinking it was the slightest hiccup and I would be able to return back to the workouts, and work in no time. After looking at the MRI results, this injury is more severe.

Instead of looking in the future, and worrying about when i’ll be able to be my full potential again, I’ve realized that it’s all about the process and recovery along the way and that everything happens for a reason. While this may be hard to believe and tell myself this, I know I’m in God’s hands and has a plan for me.

This injury may take longer than I would’ve hoped, it definitely has changed my perspective on so many things. This has not only been physically hard on my body, but also mentally, as it’s exhausting knowing I can’t do the things I love for quite sometime, but I know I will come back even stronger. Right now my focus is on recovery and doing everything I can to get back to normalcy. It’s going to be a challenging road, but I’ll be back. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, checked on me, or offered help. It means more than you think. Praying for a speedy recovery so I can get back to doing what I love 🙏🩷🫶 taken in Healing Angels by @jrelyea24

This month, life threw me a curveball.

I hurt my back from a bad fall - something you never think will happen to you until it does.

The last couple of weeks have been really hard. Recovery will take time, and while it’s not the journey I planned, I’m choosing to see it as an opportunity instead of a setback.

This season is giving me time to slow down, reflect and ask myself what I can do differently. Sometimes God allows us to go through difficult moments- not to break us, but to remind us to trust His timing, appreciate each day, and grow through the process.

The fall could have been so much worse, and for that I thank God every single day. Even with my injuries, I still have a smile on my face because I know this is only temporary.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s this:

Never take life for granted. You never know what tomorrow holds. Cherish the people you love, take care of yourself, and be grateful for every moment. There is always light at the end of the tunnel, even when the road feels difficult.

One day at a time. God’s timing is always perfect ❤️‍🩹🙏 taken in Healing Angels by @jrelyea24

Yesterday, I hit my limit.

Most people see the workouts, the work, the house projects, the Bible study, and all the things I somehow juggle.

What they don’t see are the moments when all feels like too much.

Yesterday was one of those days.

I cried harder than I have in a while. I felt overwhelmed, exhausted, and honestly just tired of being the strong one all the time.

Sometimes the strongest people are the ones quietly carrying more than anyone realizes.

Today, I’m feeling better. I prayed, picked myself up, and kept moving forward.

If you’re in a season where you feel like you’re barely holding it together, you’re not alone.

If no one told you lately, I’m proud of you for staying strong for as long as you have. Thank you for loving me exactly as I am my friends 🥹🙏 taken in Just Living Life by @jrelyea24

God is so good 🥹In awe of my life right now, and my amazing friends I’m blessed to share it with. I literally pinched myself to see if this was actually real life. Loving life, smiling every day, pursuing something I love, meeting incredible people, and having the most incredible friends, and family a girl could ask for! I wish I could tell my younger self to just be patient and remain strong, and all the hard times will be worth it. Because my gosh, I ended up here in this very special season of life and it’s honestly perfect! Grateful. Beyond. Blessed taken in Heaven On Earth by @jrelyea24

Grateful and thankful for the journey this has been. The journey of learning my body through trial and error, the journey it took me to get to this point, how fitness / Zumba has mentally physically challenged me which has spilled into almost every area of my life to do challenging things, the confidence I’ve gained to help, seeing how much the body is capable of and how well it can adapt. I could really go on and on!
Looking back the past 2 years, it was really in a blink of an eye to some people, I will forever remember and be grateful for the ups and downs it took me to get to this point. Even though I’ve come along way, this only feels like the beginning. I’m thankful for now and for what the future holds in my fitness journey.

Thank you my friends for being a part of my journey and making life so special. Los amo a todos, vamonos 💃🔥💪😘😘 taken in Back on My Grind by @jrelyea24

There are no words that can fully express the way so many of my friends shown up and stood by me. There has been nothing sweeter or more healing than the ways we support each other. I have been blessed with the greatest of these. From childhood friendship that still persists to God bringing friendships I didn’t plan… Friendship has been one of the most rewarding experiences in my life. 🙏😭🫶

When you’re struggling don’t isolate and try to do it alone. Connection literally heals. Los quiero mucho, amigos! Son los mejores taken in Beautiful Angels by @jrelyea24

Grateful for those who left, those who stayed, those who hurt, and those who healed- thank you 🙏

Every chapter of my journey has been shaped by the people who’ve come and gone, and even those who lingered only briefly. The ones who left taught me the value of release - how to let go with grace and grow without resentment. Their absence made room for clarity, for healing, and for people who meant to stay.

To my friends who stayed, thank you for being the anchors. The ones who saw the mess and still chose to love. You remind me that not everyone runs when things get hard, and that real connection doesn’t waiver with time or circumstance. You were quite consistency I didn’t always know I needed.

And to those who hurt me you were part of my becoming. The wounds you left turned into wisdom. You showed me where I needed boundaries, where I still have unhealed parts of myself, and where I had to learn to choose myself. Pain isn’t pretty, it’s powerful and because of it I’ve grown in ways I never imagined.

To my healing angels, I’m thankful for your light. You helped me remember softness. You reminded me that healing doesn’t mean forgetting, it means freeing. And that joy can still live where pain once did. Te quiero, mi amigos; you’re the only finish line that I wanna run toward. taken in Heaven on Earth by @jrelyea24

Last year was hard. I watched myself break. I watched myself fight. I even felt my light go out.

2026 isn’t about proving anything, it’s about finding my spark again, having faith, choosing love, and the friends and family who never let me quit 🤍✨

Thank you to everyone who stood by me, prayed for me, and carried me when I couldn’t carry myself. I’m forever grateful to have you all in my my corner and los quiero mucho a todos 🕊️😻🙏😘 taken in Healing Angels by @jrelyea24

Thankful- that’s my word for this past year. I’m thankful for growth, the hard times that made me make hard decisions and finally work on myself to help me become a better person. I’m thankful for therapy. SO thankful for that. I’m thankful for the grief I had to endure to get me to the point where I’m at right now. I’m thankful for forgiveness. Ya’ll that’s a hard thing to do but anger is poison, so therefore you have to forgive and move on, even if you don’t understand. I’m thankful for God helping me make it through this past year. I’m thankful for my friends who stayed, the ones who loved me through my hard times and stuck by me at my lowest of lows. I’m so thankful for the ones who helped me pick myself back up and piece me back together. Y’all are the MVPS. Without you all my life wouldn’t be possible right now.

Happy New Year, my beautiful friends! ✨Los quiero mucho a todos taken in God's Blessings by @jrelyea24
