I’ve officially entered my “Ma’am” era👵🏻 AND IM FINE WITH IT!!😭

So, my friends and I made this parody of @girlshbo years ago (before I was a Garbagemom!!) but now that the teens are discovering GIRLS for the first time and calling it “vintage” 💀 and I just finished devouring @lenadunhams BRILLIANT new book FAMESICK, I thought the world needed to see this again.

It made me realize...we still don’t have a GIRLS for my generation.

Where’s the show about women in their 40s who are too old for hot mess culture, but too young to relate to “The Golden Girls?”

What show has even been made for women “of a certain age” besides the Golden Girls???

Who are raising kids while managing aging parents, forgetting why they walked into rooms and navigating perimenopause/ sagging faces/career burn-out/existential dread?

MA’AMS is the anti “AND JUST LIKE THAT.”

We’re not wearing heels to brunch (I haven’t worn a heel since 2020 like why would I?!?)

We don’t have the budget for Dior (in THIS economy!!?). We’re raw. We’re tired. We’re iron deficient. We’re on HRT and we don’t give a f*ck anymore.

This was a parody I made a decade ago...but now that I’m actually in my MA’AM era, should I write this show for real?

And would you watch it? 🤷‍♀️

I originally designed the characters for the Backyard Sports series of video games working for Humongous Entertainment back in the 90’s. It blows my mind the impact those characters have made over the years. At any rate the Kelce Bros showed some love on their @newheightshow podcast so I gave them the Backyard treatment. @killatrav @jason.kelce #backyardfootball #backyardfootballgame #backyardsportsgames by @jrennick
