1st Naroditsky Memorial
July 3-5, 2026

So grateful to my RCS coaches for encouraging (and pushing 😆) me to participate in this wonderful event despite being new and a noob at chess 🥹🙏🏻🫶 And thank you for helping introverted me get so many amazing professional chess players' signatures, photos, and conversations (collecting their signatures felt like collecting Chess Pokémon 🤭)..

Thank you to all the content creators and chess players who were sooo down-to-earth, kind, and encouraging 🤩☺️🙏🏻 I hope I didn't cross any lines or make anyone uncomfortable, and I wish you all the best in life!!! ✨️

Order of appearance in the video 😀:

Born & raised in Indonesia, we ✈️ to Bali to wrap up our pre-wedding photoshoot journey. The air was chilly, the sunrise was warm & beautiful, and the hike down the earth was a bit challenging but so fun & cool! 😅

The last pre-wedding spot in Korea, where lots of tourists also took some pics of us 😅 I guess we were a lively additional decoration to this beautiful but uninhabited traditional village :D

We continued our pre-wedding photoshoot journey to a place that felt like an enchanted forest 🌳💚
The 🌞 was still blazing, but the trees definitely helped 🌬️ :]

Inspired by IU's 'Love Wins All' MV, I searched for an abandoned site to continue our pre-wedding photoshoot journey ✈️🇰🇷
I've always loved amusement parks since I was born 👶🏻, so Yongma Land was the perfect site! 🎠🎢
Really grateful for my very supportive ex-fiancé 🤭🫶

June 2024 (that summer in Korea was so so so really very hot 🌞🥵🫠 but really grateful for the kind auntie who kept covering me with her umbrella and fanning me with her handheld fan 🥹🙏🏻) taken in Yongma Land Abandoned Theme Park, Seoul by @jrichard516

After living in the Bay Area for ~10 years, the Golden Gate Bridge 🌉 had to be part of our pre-wedding memories :]

TMI: Jason lost his right sandal 😅 Meanwhile, me (who used to be a village kid) was perfectly comfortable being barefoot 🐒🌊🪨

Big thanks to @srichard806 @kesaagness @jamessu0208 who helped make this photoshoot go smoothly 💜

~2 months ago YouTube decided that I wanted to learn chess by recommending me WGM @dinabelenkaya 👑 videos. It was not wrong 😅👏

And then my fur baby @geumi.u seemed to be interested with my new hobby too (not sure how lol). So I tried to introduce her to chess pieces, starting with the Queen 👸 & the Rook 🏰, and then added the Knight 🐴!

Her attention (learning) span for this is only a few minutes on average, so it took lots of a few mins to learn only 3 pieces... and she still doesn't get 100% correct every time. But here's a video of when she almost got them all correctly! 💜🤓

Thank you God for letting me fulfill one of my life wishes 🙇🏻‍♀️🙏🏻
Thank you & sorry IU님 @dlwlrma you must be tired but you still let me take pics with you 🥹 I didn't know I could freeze ⛄️ and melt 🫠 at the same time!
지은언니 is always so kind, pretty & cute, passionate, loving towards UAENA 등등 🪻🥰🫶🐥💛💜 You were patient with my slow & broken korean, and at the end, you still opened the car window to wave goodbye to us even there were only me & my brother left!

Also thank you & sorry to Mr. Bodyguard 박근우님 @kunwoo.p 😎. You were gentle & more chill than usual, took my gift for IU, smiled shyly, tapped my shoulder & even accepted my handshake 🥺🤝 (and so I missed getting a handshake with IU lol)
Next time I'll give you protein shake! 💪

To manager 한터님, I wanted to say hi to you too but I was too scared 😬😅🥲

Although I was waiting from ~8am to 5:30pm, and going back & forth between terminals, it was more than worth it! 😂

06.12.2024 - Incheon Airport
It is always hard to get close to IU님, but that time I was so lucky! I only waited for few mins and chose to stand at the correct lane, and she even saw & took my gift! 🥹🙏🏻
And the same bodyguard (who has his own fanclub lol) was also super nice to take a selfie with me afterwards ☺️

P.S.: This post has been a draft for almost 2 years and now finally posted! 🙈 (Even few strangers have posted this earlier than me lol)

(Part 3 - last)
In this part, I was just like 🧠⏳️⏳️🥲, but IU님 was still trying to explain it nicely 👩🏻‍🏫🫠
But at least I finally could listen to her speaking English!! (She's soo cute whenever she speaks other languages hehe).. I was too excited when she spoke English, that I didn't hear when she said that our time had ended 😅🙏🏻
(Note: messy subtitles everywhere lol)

(Part 2)

IU님 & I talked about a topic that was a bit too advanced for my Korean level, so. . . 🥲😅
Even if I practiced a few sentences 100x, still couldn't do it right in front of her 🫠
Again, to @dlwlrma 저는 지은님을 진짜 진짜 너무 아주 많이 고맙고 사랑해요! 🥹🫶💛💜

Special thanks to @hannah_korean for helping me with my script and translating the parts I didn't understand (also to @naega_jjikeun_pho_oto) 🫶🙏🏻
.
.
P.S.: I didn't plan to upload the whole experience for some reasons, but 🤷🏻‍♀️🙆🏻‍♀️
Also I was planning to upload the rest of vid in 1 reel, but just knew that a reel can't be more than 90secs, so there would be Part 3 😅
