Wrapped up Gerids dragon today! I forget what we covered up. Thanks!

It’s always a little sad when I wrap up a big project. I get to know you. You become a regular person I see once a month. But it’s also really gratifying and exciting. I’m super stoked for you! It’s a beautiful thing that I really appreciate about tattoo, the impermanence of the permanent. Thanks to everyone who trusts and allows me to go through the experience with you!

Jigoku Dayu (born Otoboshi) was a beautiful girl who became an orphan at an early age. Which lead to a life of prostitution. With her beauty and intelligence she became the highest rank courtesan. But believing her life as miserable and a direct result of karma from a previous life she branded herself as the “Hell Courtesan” and wore a kimono embroidered with hellish imagery.

Upon hearing of her popularity, a famous Buddhist monk named Ikkyu Sojun (who partake in the follies of man) paid her a visit. According to some legends she set the room up for entertainment but to her surprise when she peeks in the room she finds the monk is surrounded by skeletons! Jigoku Dayu becomes the disciple of Ikkyu Sojun and is eventually able to reach enlightenment. #atlantairezumi #atlantajapanesetattoo #bekindtattoo #lineageneedleco #atltattoos #bestofatlanta #lunapigment #alliancetattoosupply by @jriveratattoo
