One day I hope to snag a picture of my shadow when I’m grippin and rippin and show y’all that amazing feeling of a braid whipping around on your back as it floats in the wind behind you. But until I can capture that feeling and that picture, I’ll share these of some dope volcanoes and quietly beautiful roads near this place I call home. All the wonder shared with @iraryancycles and the two airheads he has impeccably made run.

All roads and lakes and places we laid our heads are native to Cowlitz, Siletz, Klikitat, Warm Springs, and Grand Ronde tribes. by @jroarrr

I had the privilege of riding my bike around Wy’east, wrapping around her like a giant hug. Some pavement, single track, double track, gravel, river crossings, a middle-of-the-night chainsaw, trail burritos and less than 5 miles on 26 and 35 made for a challenging and beautiful adventure. This mountain is magic. So many thanks to @iraryancycles for literally and figuratively pushing me to see it all.

I have spent a lot of time in my own company this past year. Being a self powered machine has brought lots of familiarity with discomfort, silence, and listening to my own breath. A quick solo trip brought greater appreciation for stellar women in my world (@leahkatebenson ), my “meat pistons” (thanks @iraryancycles), for natural spaces, and shit, even for myself being who I am. Go do the thing, think about the stuff, and give thanks for all of it. by @jroarrr
