This was too fun to not post immediately!
Back in 03, 04, I played keyboards for a group called TOA and their version of Bob Marley’s “Waiting in Vain” has always been my favorite and I also grew up listening to my dad and his brothers sing this version as well. I had to bring some of this arrangement back to life and who better to do it with than Izik, Jenn, and Lina. Enjoy!!!

I know a lot of people posted tributes to the late @dollyparton this week, and I thought this was a beautiful one to share from a few years ago at @mitchsushihi in the back room (what’s now @izakayamitchs). @zaysha4u @jroq & @linarobinssings just started jamming and shared their “Islands In The Stream” like no one else. taken in Mitch's Fish Market & Sushi Bar by @jroq

Aloha ‘Ohana 🌱 last November I had the opportunity to make some magic with some of my close friends and family and today I’m so stoked to announce that the recordings are mastered and ready to share.

“Live from the Atherton” is OUT — and my heart is so full. 🙏🏾

This one was recorded live, in one room, one night, with a band that poured everything into it. No edits, no second takes — just real music and live art. 🎶

This week it’s available exclusively to own on Bandcamp — the best way to put your support straight into the hands of the people who made it. 💿🪽Then it hits all streaming platforms June 17 with Ohana Records @ohana.productions.hi 🖤🌊

Recorded with the incredible @wearehpr at the Atherton, sponsored by @hmsahawaii . 🕊️

Wanted to take a moment to call out my incredible band and music ‘Ohana who truly made this magic happen:

🎸 @yarbrough_ashton on bass
🎹 @eddybishai on keys
🥁 @deegrabes on drums
🎤 @jroq on background vocals
🎤 @keilanamusic on background vocals
🎛️ Produced by @ananddev.banerjee

Mahalo for being here. Go listen loud. 🙌🏾🌊

Link in bio. 🌱
