It’s a brand new season of Nice Tingz on DDR! 🔊 In our latest episode we feature a very special guest mix from ✨ YABI @iamyabi_ ✨ YABI is a French-Caribbean DJ based in Dublin, bringing a sound shaped by her time in Montreal’s global music scene. Her sets are driven by heavy percussion and rhythm, blending Reggae, Dub, Bouyon, Konpa and Dancehall with Global Bass and Afro Tech. Since moving to Dublin two years ago, she has played regularly at local spots including Fidelity, Lucky’s and Row Wines, as well as joining lineups for Dublin Modular and Honeypot. “For this mix, I wanted to focus on Dub, Reggae and Dancehall, sounds that are a big part of what I grew up with. I’ve brought together traditional Jamaican artists like Black Uhuru, Dawn Penn, Sister Nancy and Chaka Demus & Pliers with French and European electronic dub from Kanka, High Tone, O.B.F, Weeding Dub and Radikal Guru. Moving between roots, dancehall, dub and more experimental sounds, the mix reflects the different sides of the music that have influenced me over the years, including artists like Mala, Mad Professor and Iration Steppas. My highlight artist is Groundation, one of the first reggae bands I listened to and one that made me fall in love with reggae. I also saw them live as a child, and their fusion of jazz and reggae has always felt particularly special to me.” NICE TINGZ | THURSDAY 1.10.26 | 12:00 - 14:00 @dublindigitalradio @nicetingz.dub by @jrspesh

MEET THE STRICTLY SUMMER BIZNESS DJS! DJ Egg & BLKCNVS DJ Egg is a music selector and artist who has been steadily rising and creating communities on the dancefloor through the Irish and UK scenes for the past eight years. Well-established in the bass scene in Ireland, they have married their passion for bass-heavy music with their long-standing involvement in grassroots queer culture, developing a signature sound that encompasses euphoric queer club music into their sets. They co-run Dyke Nite (Limerick & Cork) and are the resident designer and frequent performer of Ar Ais Arís. 2025 found them playing multiple headline slots at parties and festivals such as Honeypot, Ar Ais Arís, Dublin Modular, Open Ear, All Together Now & Fuinneamh Festival. 2026 is becoming an exciting year for the DJ too, fresh off playing at London’s iconic Cafe 1001 and Fidelity Studio in Dublin, on support for Mike Skinner (The Streets) and is playing All Together Now and Fuinneamh Festival 2026 BLKCNVS, the Dublin-based Nigerian-Irish DJ whose sets draw on a rich, global palette shaped by years of collecting and blending sounds across clubs, festivals, day parties, and even family gatherings. As founder of The Sweet Spot (@sweetspot.mp3), who currently host a monthly get together in Dublin City’s Project Arts Centre, he's focused on creating warm spaces that welcome dreamers & dancers to let loose, unwind & SHAKE RUMP — because it's good for you. Using riddims to spread much love from Ireland to The World. Strictly Bizness is the movement to make you move. Jr Spesh and Governess have been DJing together since 2014. Both are integral parts of the Irish Club Scene in their own rights. Their love for music, culture and the dance pushed them to create Strictly Bizness. You can catch them monthly at @fidelitydublin Studio. @luckysdublin @dj__egg @blkcnvs_ @pallas.projects.studios @govern3ss @jrspesh @the.rarest.breed 🎨 (last picture) by @jrspesh
