New Video is Live on YouTube!

When you have a 54k-Mile 2005 STI and an S209 at the shop in the same week, it’s only right that they get their own video. Both STIs got a full feature, from engine bay to interior. To learn more about these unicorns, click the link in the bio and head straight to YouTube!

Well there ya have it! First time ever (for me and for the car) at the track! @racenumidia was having their last Friday Night Drags of the year, so me and my Dad made the decision to head over with our cars.

First pass was just to get my feet wet, didn’t leave out of the hole hard or shift hard. I also let out for a second when i went into 5th because i didn’t think i hit the gear. 12.5 at 114. Not bad for my first time down the strip and nervous as all hell.

2nd and last pass i debated on leaving the hole easy again and just going for a mph, or really (try) to launch it and go for a time. I did the ladder. This clutch in the car really doesn’t hold up for launches since it’s just OEM replacement from Exedy, and will just slip. But to my surprise it held up for the most part on the launch! 1.76 60ft! I unfortunately short shifted in my 2-3 shift and got locked out of 3rd, then i power shifted 3-4, and power shifted 4-5 but got locked out of 5th. So that was that, car was on a run. Without the lockouts and if i stayed in 2nd a little longer i think this would have done 11s easily on this pass.

Comparing the time slips, 2nd pass cut .203 off the 60ft, cut .133 to the 330, and cut .045 off the 1/8 mile at 5mph LESS then the first pass, even with the lockout on 3rd gear.

Plans for the off season are to cut some more weight out of the car, put a much needed clutch in, fresh transmission fluid, and fill the car back up with E98 instead of pump E85 to get every bit of power the setup has again. We’ll be back! Was an awesome time. D at @primemotoring was absolutely right that this was the most fun you’ll have for $25 bucks. Thank you and the crew for checking the car out and making sure everything was beuno before @jrtuned did his magic on the keys.

D found a *very special* VA STI with over 200k miles and to no surprise, the project quickly escalated. Let’s just say, he made sure to use it as Subaru intended….

I won’t say much more, other than to click the link in the bio, and find out what D bought! by @jrtuned

No OEM dash? No problem. Got this @haltech UC-10 and @link_ecu G4X plug-in communicating thanks to the UC10 beta firmware for CAN . With some fancy conditions and using a timer/reset function, we've got a latching logic using the dash being sent to the ECU.

Two boost modes and i-mode for some spice.

Ready for @jrtuned !

As requested, we have a proper review on the @dos_performance_ 70 & 100 turbos.

We knew they’d be good, but the results exceeded our expectations! Click the link in the bio for a full rundown, and comparison to the FP Zero and FP Blue turbos. by @jrtuned

We are going to be putting this out on our youtube page soon but wanted to get this out to the public. Perfect apples to apples comparison of the @dos_performance_ 100 vs an FP Zero on the exact same car. Car is a 2015 STI Launch Edition owned by @bam703 running an old IAG Stage 4 Shortblock with Stage V Heads + all the trimmings needed for a max effort stock location run were there, AMS Manifold, 3.5” hard Inlet, Big FMIC core, zero restrictions. The FP dyno runs were done in April so weather was a bit on the cooler side so keep that in mind as well. No matter how hard we tried to push the FP (customer wanted everything it had, hoping for 700+) 638whp & 512wtq was the best we could get targeting 38psi . He was disappointed to say the least.

Fast forward a few months I was talking to the guys at DOS and they were asking for updates and told them at this point with the direction Im heading with my own cars, it would be best we get this on someone else that had a setup which could get them the figures they needed. Lightbulb goes off in my head and I had just the car.

If the DOS couldnt deliver here, there was something clearly wrong with the car at this point. So on goes the DOS 100 in replacement of the FP Zero and what i noticed immediately was that the DOS, even though being a 68mm vs a 62mm, matched the spool of the FP Zero right from the start and hitting full song at about 4600-4700 rpm. I did not expect that because all the other graphs I had seen of these turbos, they looked VERY laggy, seeing some not hitting peak boost until 5500+. So right away im very impressed for a stock location 68mm turbo. Then the power kept coming and within two pulls we had passed the Zero’s best and made its way comfortably past 700whp getting to 755 before we were forced to stop progress. Ultimately, in which you will see in the graph as the power drops off, we lost fuel pressure and it held us back from getting to 800whp. @jrtuned is confident this will do 800+ easily once the pressure situation is addressed and the owner will also be upgrading his ID2000s (which might be older than the car itself) to a fresh set of @fuelinjectorclinic 2150s for good

To be continued.... by @jrtuned
