General Alocasia (Elephant ear plant) care tips:
🪴Propagation: from bulbs, if the plant is adult enough you can try digging within the soil and check if there are any bulbs. Small bulbs will give small leaves big bulbs will produce big leaves.
😵What to do when the plant has root rot 🍂:
• Remove as much soil as possible try not to damage the roots if they look healthy and remove any mushy or soggy roots.
• Take the bulb and give it a gentle squeeze to check if it is still hard.
• If you will grow it in Leca 🌰 make sure that it doesn’t sit in water and clean the bulb once a weak to ensure no fungus can take hold of the bulbs.
• If you will grow them in soil 🪴make sure that it is well-draining soil and let it dry out before you water it again.
• growing it in water only is easy too🚰, just put the bulb into a small container filled with tap water and place the container in a spot with bright indirect light and refill water whenever needed. It's better to change the water more often to prevent contamination or water becoming unclear.

#js_StringOfPearls

String of Pearls - Senecio Rowleyanus, is a pretty succulent that has fleshy bead-like foliage. Easy to propagate too.

👩🏻‍🌾Care: Easy (hard for people who dont have enough light)
☀️: bright indirect light for 6 to 8 hours.
💧: water throughly when top soil is dry (top ~2cm). It is drought tolerant.
🌡: thrives in warm temperatures about 21 to 26°C (70 to 80°F)
🌫: prefers dry areas, dry air wouldn’t affect its growth. Also it can enjoy any standard household humidity.
🪴: soil should have very good drainage.
☣️: toxic to pets and humans.

❗️Common problems with String of Pearls that can lead to thinning out of stems and disappearing (dying). •same the problem as shown in the first picture•:

1. Soil is heavy which makes it stay wet. Change the soil as soon as you get it from store.
2. Too much fertilizer. Succulents usually don’t need to be fertilized too often.
3. Misting or humid air.
4. Don’t get enough light.
5. Planted in a pot that is too big. Which will lead to root rot since the soil will stay wet longer.
6. Planted too deep inside the pot. The foliage should be about 1 cm below the pot top. It will lead to root rot.
7. Too much water will kill it.
8. Pests are attracted to String of Pearls. Especially when it is watered too much.
