First of all, Massive Thankyou N shoutout to @aaronwvernon For the chance to Fix and Upgrade this Gorgeous S3 PFL😍💙 Huge Help Having The Owner Hands on In the workshop From 5:30pm when the car arrived until 4am Upon completion. A Solid Shift for sure! (And we’d both already worked a full day prior to the cars arrival) @tuningtechnics Is Shortly providing the mapping Once again🚀💯 A Quick Breakdown of What we found, Fix, and Upgraded! ~AP Coil overs (Rear only) due to BOTH springs being Snapped ~S3 JET Quattro Gearbox, Previously rebuilt😏Silky smooth ~S3 Passenger Driveshaft ~Brand new CV Boot for Drivers driveshaft ~Engine Oil dip stick due to Missing the Seal completely ~Full Milltek Turbo to Tip ~Liquid Molly Transferbox Fluid ~Sachs Uprated clutch kit & Flywheel (Existing DMF was DEAD, Clutch Disc Had F-All Left also😆 ~Sachs solid one Piece slave cylinder (F TPS plastic ones with Split) After one the Previous Owners had Literally Left the Gearbox Input shaft bearing Cap off. Spraying gearbox Oil Everywhere, Leaving it hard to engage gears properly, And with a terrible Whine! Props to the owner he did try and fit the new Gearbox Provided Himself But found Out That Its Definitely Not the easiest of Jobs. And To me The S3 came😁 Sure to see this car here again in future and Definitely need to Get Out in it sometime, once front suspension is done and a few other bits, Mapping too. Andddd another Mk5 Has landed JSB For a BWA like 4 like Engine replacement & More! Due to a Snapped timing chain😢 Mileage Was quite High, But being a DSG, Sunroof and 5 door, Was worth Getting it back on the road. While everything was apart I discovered the usual, Crispy PCV pipes, and Split vacuum Pipes! We Replaced; ~BWA Bare engine 110K ~oil control Valve ~Oil filter housing & Gasket for peace of Mind ~PCV hose Lower/Longer (Upper recently replaced) ~Standard TPS bits All genuine gaskets, oil and antifreeze Once All the above was Fitted, and It Ran with No leaks or Lights, We Proceeded To the Front end And Fitted Some Juicy Bits; ~S3 Intercooler + Pipes ~S3 Aluminium Hubs ~S3 Longer front brake Caliper Bolts ~S3 Aluminium Wishbones ~Powerflex Antilift Kit ~New Drop Links (previous ones needed grinding off!) ~New Bilstien Front Shocks & Springs ~Xenon R32 Headlights, Replacing the Very Yellowed n cracked Stock Halogens Tracking was Definitely needed Due to the new handling Gear, But Just like that, 5+ Months Sat To done and off to mapping! A £650 facebook marketplace Punt! 2007 TT 2.0 tfsi BWA, Bone Stock! Massive stack of paperwork & Service history. Gorgeous Red interior With a Crispy Engine bay! 🔥 7 Hours all in, We Replaced; ~Injectors (Genuine G’s) X4 ~Injector Loom ~Both PCV pipes ~HPFP ~Rocker & PCV (Had literally Vanished) ~Inlet Manifold ~Thermostat ~Oil filter housing & oil cooler ~Alternator ~Engine Cover ~Coil pack X4 ~Knock Sensor ~Stock Fuel Pressure Sensor ~3 Engine Loom connectors had to be cut And Soldered ~Dipstick & Tube Backstory; ~The Guy i Brought it From Had a Mechanic come and Fit 2 New Injectors Just a day before its MOT, Left the Inlet manifold atleast 1-2CM Off the cylinder head where it Mounts, No Bolts OR 10mm nuts on the Manifold alignment Studs. Shortly after going to start It Once “mechanic” had Left, Up in flames!🔥And Yes Firefighters Had to come and End the Fire🚒🧑‍🚒 This TT still needs a Brake Servo (Dreading It) And a Proper Clean Now Its Running, Glad It could be saved For sure🛠️🧠 It is SOLD! This Gti BWA 06 with 90K On the clock In for a full K04 conversion + more, Was a rollercoaster of a journey for sure. 250ish bhp to a 360bhp+ savage With the car Only being completed the EVENING before mapping with @tuningtechnics the next morning ASMR on the Crispy brittle PCV pipes & Rocker gasket🤤🙄 To start We Fitted; ~S3 Front brake Set up ~3” decat downpipe, marrying up to the R32 Exhaust already installed😍 ~3 Bar MAP and 200 fuel sensor (10 mins before mapping) ~K04 Turbo In great condition ~K04 Injectors with Graphite seals and Mesh Baskets ~K04 Turbo outlet and charge pipe + DV Housing ~Sachs Uprated Clutch ~VIS Balance shaft delete ~VIS HPFP internals ~RS4 FPRV ~Mk6 R intercooler to Eliminate boost leaks😏 A Big Job to say the least. But All fitting went great! Everything goes smooth until 10 mins before we arrived for Mapping, I had run the car up to temp, Test drove it. Checked for leaks, no engine light considering everything that was fitted, we get there, and Chris Points out its not running correctly, He takes ecu while I fit sensors, we hit the road, Its pulling time, Feels like misfiring, Not starting Properly (at which point i pointed out vcds has misfire detection and guess what, cylinder 1 misfires, Chaos! We get the Mapping done, Chris likes how its pulling, Says its most likely an INJECTOR. The drive home was much much worse, but we make it back. QUICK BACK STORY: Injectors were R-Tech tested 4 months prior, already fitted with uprated mesh filter baskets and graphite seals. Plus the 5 Hour round trip to get them. The customer leave the car with me a few more days, in which time i Pulled the Injectors, Got Injector 1 Tested, plus 3 other Genuine k04 injectors i had Spare, of which @crsautos ~Tested them for me revealing, Injector 1 Failed as was letting too much fuel through. One of my spares also failed, leaving us with 2 K04 Genuine injectors, 1 for this Gti. After fitting the injector, the car definitely behaved better but something still wasnt right, customer takes the car as its running 90% as it should, Gets it scanned, HPFP regulator faulty. New HPFP fitted and Shes 100%. A VERY happy customer🚀 by @jsb_projects_55

Another GTI MK5 DSG, This time the Original AXX 2.0 tfsi Engine! Or So I and the Owner Thought! Came In with a Loud Chain, Missing Oil control Ring, Missing Oil level Sensor Connector, Running 60/70bhp Instead of the 250bhp+, Due to MAP sensor Wiring Having being Butchered a few times…. I set Out to Do The Timing chain, Along with a Long List of Previous Botched jobs to Rectify! (Full List in Pic) I Start Working on this Gti To find a BHZ (S3 8P PFL) Cylinder head, Still sitting on the original AXX Block (I did first assume someone had S3 Engine swapped this Gti But considering Owner Paid £1,400, which is what the S3 engine alone would cost) But it was just a Very clean Head and Cams Nonetheless! Still Bonus Considering The owner had No idea! To say Things Went Smooth Wouldn’t Be the Truth. I Originally Allowed for 2 days, Simple enough right? A SUPER Stuck VVT Bolt that even a 3fr Breaker bar couldn’t Budge, Nor a decent Impact. Having drilled out 3/4 before, The Job was Delayed Days. I decided i give it A final Try And Shattered the Socket Bit for the VVT Bolt, With only a Cheap amazon (With poor reviews ill add) Socket Bit left To fit the specific Bolt, A last Try Saw It Break Free. Apparently these are even designed to Self tighten🙄 Theres a Vid in There Showing an air-leak i Found On the Rocker Cover, Loud Hissing, Someone had previously put a Longer screw Than the Threat And Pierced The Rocker Cover Internally Leading To Loss of Pressure and vacuum Which these engines Rely On. Overall, Im still Happy with how it went, I got an immediate good review from the Owner, On the test drive it was clear That it was back above 200bhp, Back to Savage. Thankyou to the Owner @1shrak for the Opportunity to Send This Gti mk5 BWA to K04 360bhp In Just 2 Days This Summer🚀 Props to the Owner, Who Travelled down from Leicester and stayed in a hotel for 2 Nights while Working on the Gti. He did Attempt to do tis conversion Himself and he is 10X as knowledgeable On this Platform than me, But 2/3 snapped Turbo Studs Would Ruin the Best of Us, So i Took on the Job. K04 Turbo Fitting✅ 9 New Turbo Studs and Nuts TPS✅ Braided Clutchline and HEL Unrestricted Bleed block✅ RTS SMF Twin Friction Clutch kit and flywheel Fitted✅ Cheeky Signature On the Wing🖊️ Last picture is 2AM on the 1st day Of Working On the car, To show everyone makes mistakes. Its 1:30ish Im in bed, I hear the rain Begin, Within Minutes im out the door and Booting it to the Unit to cover the engine that was left in the Open, Partially Assembled and a OPEN passenger and drivers Window which was accidentally left after disconnecting battery To Pull engine earlier in the day. Lesson learnt and a Very grateful Owner 2 Months Later shes Still Running Great Ripping around up North, I got the chance to Feel it fully Mapped Recently And Its a BEAST.
