To the entirety of the Strava community, Good day.

As a cancer survivor, i am a humbled beneficiary of the tremendously arduous and lengthy process of Cancer research that developed the life-changing and life-saving treatments I was fortunate to receive.

I believe it is my privilege to pay it forward for others by providing awareness and most importantly for those who hear the mind numbing words: “you have cancer” through my request for your support to further advance Cancer research.

Greetings friends and colleagues of the OGP(Old Guys Peloton)🤩
Thank-YOU for your friendship and support through my cancer journey🙏🏽👍🏽, an unexpected adventure in a blessed life, getting through this with the wonderful village each and all of you are a part of, embracing me, Melanie and our family through your encouragement and love.💕 💪🏽💪🏽

As a result of my “gift of life” as a cancer survivor, i am living a commitment to help others who find themselves faced with this daunting diagnosis through my support of organizations dedicated to the elimination of cancer.

This ride, “Obliteride” is a fundraising event that supports the advancement of technology that seeks to reach that goal. My plan is to ride the 50 mile route and if time allows, to embark on the 100 miler.

Despite the advancements in cancer screening and detection, amidst the estimated 2Million new cancer cases per year, more than 600,000 people will lose this battle.

I am reaching out to you to consider further extending your generosity to help in the advancement of treatments and cures that are desperately needed to fight this horrible disease.
