Congrats to our associate director, Djordje Padejski, on his new report! 🎉
He spent the past year digging into what newsrooms have actually built with AI. The result is a catalog of 160 projects from 101 news organizations, launched between late 2022 and the end of 2025.

Two takeaways:
1️⃣ Most newsrooms have used AI to make existing workflows faster, like summarizing and transcribing.

2️⃣ Newsrooms are most worried about AI’s impact on their business, yet few have built anything to address the disruption already underway.

It’s a useful map of what’s been built and what’s been overlooked. The full dataset is public, so you can search and filter all 160 projects yourself.

We had perfect weather today for a walking tour of campus with associate director @padejski. Needless to say we only scratched the surface of the 8000+ acres of @stanford.

The campus is still mostly quiet since the student body hasn’t moved in yet. Now’s the perfect opportunity to relax and find your way around. Soon enough, the fellows will be shoulder to shoulder with thousands of other eager and curious minds. taken in Stanford University by @jskstanford
