This picture should give you comfort if you’re worried about the upcoming separation referendum on Oct 19. No matter the outcome of this illegitimate process consent of First Nations is required should it go to a second vote to separate ( super unlikely - even if Albertans dont show up in droves for the first vote, they sure will for a second!). In fact the Canadian constitution is mostly about the rights of First Nations and as are the Treaties. Alberta and other provinces are “bit players”. First Nations and Canada have made their feelings known (lawsuit against UCP for the referendum). It’s no mistake that Carney chose to be in Edmonton beside all the Treaty Chiefs on Truth and Reconciliation day last week. He’s united with them. United 🤝 All of Alberta is Treaty territory. That’s what makes us different from Brexit ( that wasn’t breaking up England , it was just leaving the European Union). Canada will remain 💪 🇨🇦

All that said I’ll never forgive the UCP for dragging us through this, just because of Danielle Smith’s selfish desire to stay in power. She is now trying to distance herself from the separatists as it gets closer to the vote. She’s not in anyone’s corner but her own.

A vote to separate is unconscionable to me. It’s treason - walking away from your country and expecting others to do the same. It’s a vote for: white supremacy, reduced women’s rights (read Mitch Sylvestre’s manifesto. Scary…), economic disaster ( no fed dollars, no international economic agreements, no leverage to get pipelines across Canada).

I have nothing but white hot anger for anyone who votes to break up Canada 🇨🇦 Shame on you. 🖕 by @jsmilligan

The Oilers just signed Alex Fomentin. In 2018 this guy and 6 others entered a room of an extremely intoxicated girl who thought she was hooking up with one guy. They overwhelmed her and consent in that case?? I hope you get booed every night with “no means no” like your buddy Carter Hart in Vegas. I hope you’re run out of the league and that your mental health is shattered as a result. It starts with a dictators map. The Chancellor of Germany had one in the 40’s. Milosevic had his ambition map of Yugoslavia in the 90’s. Putin has his map erasing Ukraine. Full on aggressive fascism out of the US…. Danielle Smith and her fellow treasonous Alberta seppies are trying to help him achieve his map.

The Pedophile in Charge made this weak pathetic lizard of a human lord of war or whatever. Even his own mother called him “an abuser of women”. Drunken frat boy at the wheel attacking those perceived to be weaker. Disrespecting our military even though we have lost people in their wars. Unforgivable……They are an absolute embarrassment to the US and humanity in general. I feel so sorry for good Americans who didn’t vote for this.

Mark Carney is outclassing all of them - he is seen as one of the most effective world leaders and I couldn’t agree more. Competent, focussed, compassionate, tough and always takes the high road. So proud to be a Canadian under his leadership. 🇨🇦 💪 by @jsmilligan
