I rewrote this post 10x because I didn’t have the right words to represent how lucky I am to have a running partner like @krgold. The pictures show the work, the miles, the races, the ⭐️⭐️, and the brotherhood we have around the sport we love. For my #teamquaro2027 #teamquarointernational connect post, it had to feature Kenny as the person on my right most often. He showed incredible grit one week ago today in Chicago, fighting cramps for 7 miles for his first of many sub4 marathons and a massive PR. It was an honor to act as his pacer, he told me to go at one point, I told him never. You will find us putting the miles behind us again real soon. Congrats Kenny on an amazing Chicago, we go again in NYC, and Miami real soon. by @jsmnyny

In just a few days, we will run the 2026 New York City Marathon. It has been an incredible honor to lead the Deloitte Run Club (DRC) as the men’s captain this year, and be the selected male runner for the Marathon. Working with New Balance we created these amazing training shirts for our 50+ runners, a new team high for NYCM. I am really excited for our amazing team to get out there and will share more as we get ready to start in Staten Island. Major kudos to @micah.c.whitson and @olivia.steigbigel !! by @jsmnyny

⭐️ 26.2 // 3:56:00 ⭐️

My second @wmmajors in the books and it’s a PR at the @chimarathon🏅

But it wasn’t easy, we were cruising for 19 miles and then boom, massive cramp in my right calf and a huge heart rate spike. The whole race plan changed. The goal was simply to get over the line. Resiliency and perseverance.

To @jsmnyny they broke the mold with you. Thank you for being by my side every single step of the way, especially when it got hard. We started this running journey together two years ago. I couldn’t imagine this journey without you. My face was turning red, I was hobbling and you looked at me and said “get over the line.” We did it brother.

Thank you @teamchallenge_crohnscolitisfn @crohnscolitisfoundation @katgunsursmith and @coach_marc10 for the opportunity to run this race with your emblem across our chests. It was an honor.

To the literal hundreds of people who have DM’d, texted, left voice notes and Rally cheers - I found myself sitting in Grant Park post race listening to and reading these messages with tears streaming down my face. I’m so grateful that I can do this and I’m even more grateful for the village that surrounds me. ⚡️ ⚡️

To our wives @cherzgold and @laurencasey - you have held down the fort on every training block, long run, run trip and everything in between. You’ve done it with a smile and you’ve been our loudest supporters. We’re coming home. Together. In one piece.

Build a team, grow the team, support the team. The DRC grows here in NYC and across the country. We have 52 runners in the @nycmarathon. A truly insane figure. Thank you to @fleetfeetnyc @fleetfeet for hosting us tonight. Central Park remains undefeated. We go again. In picking a hoodie for Chicago, the natural choice was @stilettorunning and Shana hooked it up. Truly a great addition to the weekend already. Additionally, I am sore, I have put a lot of miles in, but the excitement for next Sunday is growing. We are coming for ⭐️2️⃣ and appreciate the community behind us. by @jsmnyny
