Finally introducing myself after being on here with my writing account for over a year 😅

I’m a vibe writer/reader, so I’m usually going to be working on multiple different genres of books at the same time (don’t ask me how 😂). I’m looking forward to building this account and getting to know others on here!

Am I obsessed? Yes, I am. Have I gone crazy with the mood boards? Also, yes 😂

Still on track to finish the first draft by November 24 ❤️👩‍💻

I’ve never really enjoyed horror films, but I’ll take a horror novel by Isabel Canas any day ❤️

This book had me enraptured from page one. The writing, Alba’s character, the premise. I loved everything about it.

Now to figure out my next October read! Preferably something witchy or gothic 🤗

In honor of hitting 10k words, here are some of my favorite lines so far 🤗

Two quick things… is bishop capitalized? (Refer to last slide for context) 😂. Google confused me 🫠

…Secondly, did anyone else know that Victoria Schwab created a tv show, First Kill (2022)? 😱😱 It’s based on a short story that she wrote. I watched the first two episodes on Netflix today and really like it!

Okay, back to writing!

I had three days of fun allowing myself to practice my line level writing on my new vampire WIP. But now it’s time to push my internal editor aside and allow myself to just write 😅

Here we gooooo! 🤗

HAVEN has been sent to my sis for plot feedback and since I’m on my mandatory four week break, guess who gets to dive into their newest obsession 🤩

I’ve been waiting for the right time to explore my own upbringing in a cult-like religion, and what better way to do it, than with vampires?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a plot fall into my lap as complete as this one has. But of course, I’ll let my pantser brain do its thing and we’ll see where it goes!

At 10:35pm last night I finished writing the last scene of my dystopian fantasy WIP, draft 1😱 78k words written in 9 weeks! From 7/22/26 —> 9/21/26!

The ending changed pretty drastically, so I have a bit of work to do going back and adding scenes to help support it, but I LOVE the changes. It was for the best!

Somehow all my formatting (font/font size) changed multiple times throughout my draft, so I need to figure out what the heck is up with that 😂 Hence, why I’m just going to start a draft 2 and make sure the formatting is consistent 🤦🏼‍♀️

Even though this WIP began as a rewrite of my very first novel, it is almost COMPLETELY different. So I’m calling it my third novel! Fingers crossed…maybe the one I query in the future? 🤗

I read “Vampires of El Norte” last summer and still think about it often 😍

What’s the book that you still think about? 📚

ARC Review!

Right from the start, I was hooked on this book. From the plot, the banter, delicious tension, and the author’s beautiful writing, I couldn’t put it down!

Aura is a Primal Born vampire hiding the secret of who she really is: a hybrid who is both vampire and lycan. In a world where hybrids are hunted and killed, she’s forced to keep this concealed and does everything she can to suppress the lycan side of her. She’s also on a mission to find a cure, using her alchemy skills, for a disease that is ravaging the lycans, and of which she’s been infected by.

Sylvan is a lycan holding his own secrets and together they reluctantly team up to find answers. He’s exactly the right balance of intuition and strength that Aura needs to accept both of her sides.

The banter was everything I wanted between these two characters. Their relationship unfolded so organically and I fell in love with both of them. It was a story I didn’t want to end and a world that I never wanted to leave.

Favorite Quote: “I’m convinced you’ll be my undoing–the sweetest poison–and I’m not sure I want it any other way.”

Release date is one month away, October 12! Let me know if you add it to your TBR, or read it ❤️

Thank you to the author @authorkvmeadows for the ARC!

We’ll see what happens in the second draft, but for now I’m rolling with it! It felt like everything I wanted to say in this story fell into place when I heard that quote and I’m excited to implement it in the last ~20k words!

Current word count: 66,670

Did you have any big revelations in the third act of your novel? Let me know! ✍️

Jumping on the trend!

This book has definitely challenged my writing skills. I’m attempting a dual timeline for the first and it’ll take a few re-writes to get it right, but I’m really excited for the vision of how I want them to play out. I’m also writing a morally gray FMC for the first time 🫣 Overall, I’m loving the direction of this re-write and the homestretch is in sight (for this first draft)!

Mid-draft update! ✍️

I haven’t been this intense about a WIP since my dark romantasy I was writing last November/December 😅

I honestly can’t stop thinking of this story and all the directions I could go with it ❤️
