Mind you this is just the highlight reel. There’s waaaay more I couldn’t fit in this lol. Soon I’ll put together the video breaking down the 6 month cost + total amount spent on the car to get it back to road worthy condition. It’s a jaw dropping number (and I barely paid any of it thanks to arbitrary California laws) so stay tuned for that lol. #ferrari #ferrarilife #supercar by @jsn.s
It took 3 hours to rescue 4 ducklings using a cowboy hat. 8:17 PM We spotted a distressed mama with her babies. She was jumping up onto the docks, trying to get her babies to follow. But the babies were too small to jump up. They needed a ramp and there were none. The babies were about 1-2 weeks old. They didn’t have waterproof feathers yet, so if they’re stranded in water, their down becomes waterlogged and eventually drown. So we had to save them. 8:42 PM We got a pool net and got in our boat to go look for them. We couldn’t find them. 9:10 PM We heard a chirp and saw them! Mama kept guiding her babies away. We had to carefully corner them while avoiding hitting walls and other boats. 9:13 PM The first baby was easy to save—it was the weakest one so it trailed behind. A simple scoop out of the water. I used my cowboy hat as a makeshift emergency crate—deep enough so they couldn’t tumble out, and the right size to keep them cozy. 9:37 PM We got the second baby. When we added the second one to the hat, the first one relaxed. 9:43 PM We finally got the third baby! 10:26 PM The last baby took the longest to save. We almost gave up but we couldn’t live with ourselves for saving all but one duckling. When we finally got it, mama accepted the situation and flew away. We felt terrible about taking her babies from her, but knowing that the ducklings were 100% going to drown, rescuing them was the only option. Turns out a mama duck will grieve for a couple days, but then her survival instincts will kick in and she will move on. 11:12 PM We dried them off to keep them from getting hypothermia, and turned our tub into a makeshift rehabilitation center. 2:12 AM We gave them water. They perked back up. 9:02 AM By morning, they were chirping happily and playing. 11:32 AM We fed them mashed eggs and peas. I noticed one was not ok. It couldn’t get up and it was struggling to breathe. I rushed them straight to a local wildlife rescue center. 12:56 PM The wildlife team took over right away. They put them in a proper incubator and it looked like they were going to be ok. Big thanks to @cawildlife 🫶🏼 #animalrescue #boatlife #classicboat #rescuestory #coastallife by @jsn.s

Spotted a burning van from my place, saw them pull a cat from the van and lay it down. The sheriff showed up 5 min later demanding oxygen & administered aid to the cat for over 10 min. Shout out that hero sheriff for his refusal to give up on the cat. Thanks to his efforts, the cat lives to see another day 🙏🏼 #animalrescue #hero #firstresponders #cat #cats_of_instagram by @jsn.s
