My father Erwin is the last of his kind.
He was the only child born traditionally of his generation. He lived in a shack on the Paiute Indian Reservation for the first few years of his life. Then he met my mother Judy when I was only 1 years old. He then married my mom and had my brother and sister and then adopted my older brother and older sister. My parents then divorced years later. He remarried and I we all got my baby sister.

My dad and I didn't always have a great relationship. But he came to all my wrestling meets as a child and attended a few of my football games in high school. Then I got into boxing and he loved to slap box anytime he got a chance with me and my brothers. He showed me all the secrets to hunting deer through out my whole life.
But it wasn't always picture perfect and we had our disagreements and arguments through out my teenage years. But, he still showed up to all my shows with the heavymetal bands I played with in the Southern Utah area.
There's so much I want share about my father, but it would take an entire lifetime.

I'm going to miss the old man. He always told me to take care of myself and live my life the way I wanted and not take any crap from nobody lol.

From fixing broken cars, broken hearts and broken spirits. He was loved for being the hard working and determined indigenous man he was.

Travel well, dad. I'll see you when I get there.

11 years of sobriety feels like I'm no longer standing on top of the mountains. It feels like I'm standing with them.
Thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this milestone in my life and blessed me with the greatest gift of this experience, love.

I walked away from a life I was very comfortable with to pursue an education. I had a good job with benefits, money, family, support, and, above all, I left our reservation. The reservation was my home, and I thought I would never leave my home. I felt that if I left our rez, I was abandoning my people and my responsibilities there.

I was 18 years old when the school district told me I was not going to graduate and walk with my class of 2000 because of their policies they had with student attendance.
I ditched a lot of school because when we are troubled teenagers, we feel as if we know it all and are wild spirited.
I chased a rockstar dream as a young person, I loved writing music, I enjoyed playing and going to live music events. There was nothing more satisfying than traveling up and down interstate 15 and playing for crowds of people and watching other bands chase the Rockstar Life.

We all want a Revolution!
But a lot of the time, we get confused about what the word means and where it came from. For me, it means that I'm so very happy that I live in a time I can speak my own language, grow my hair out, attend our ceremonies, and above all, I can pursue a career and make something of my life at any age. I can do these things because of the revolutionaries before me and the sacrifices they made for us to have what we preserve and cherish now. And what the horrible people of the past have taken from our relatives on our home lands not so long ago.

We can't tell each other what to do and we can't make each other do anything, no matter how hard we try. We can only help people who want our help and support.
Life can seem so short, and we can misplace our trust, but we never misplace our love. Love will assist you in all your victories in your life and other lives as well. We can't change anyone. We can only love them for the time we are given with them.

And yes, I am wearing sunglasses indoors because my future is so bright.

One love, one fight, one reason.

I love you all, my people, and thank you all so much thus far.

Mural 300 West SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH.
This mural may be taken down for development. Some faces have already been erased.
The mural is for the lives that were taken by police brutality.

I always admired these huge murals, so I thought I'd take some time to save it here in our digital reservation before it is undone and erased.

@hellthrone01 Keeping the flames alive in Hollywood and putting their style of metal on the map for themselves. I really love that you gave me your blessing to be a part of your experiences and invite me into your lives. It's been an amazing blessing.

INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY!

I would like to throw up an appreciation post about 3 of the most important indigenous singers of the thrash-metal genre who are from our beautiful indigenous continent.
These 3 gentlemen have inspired the heavy metal scene worldwide with their unique style of singing and paved the way for what we now know as HEAVY METAL. Almost every up and coming heavy metal band will acknowledge these 3 men as their elders in our strong and respected culture of heavy metal and indigenous culture as well.
The metal scene would be decades behind and may not even be what it is today without the influence of these Thrash Metal Kings.
On behalf of the Metalheads worldwide, we say thank you for giving us such a beautiful world of music that we will head bang to in the centuries to come. 🤘🏽😤🤘🏽

ELK HUNT 2024 IN THE BOOKS!
I love being out in the mountains. It's my favorite time of year, and it's so beautiful out there.
I didn't get to tag out this season. I only had a few days to hunt and get back to my new life I am currently living and enjoying.

Go enjoy everything you can while you can and still able to. Life will pass you by so fast. The world will not stop for you or anybody. The past 4 years have proved things can change quickly for everyone.
