Here he is!
99.9% complete (much like everything I do, stupid perfectionist brain), the @gongstudio.official WALL-E model kit! This thing is an absolute joy to build, and a pleasure to paint. The balance of accuracy vs functionality is perfect.

Had to do a bit of digging around the internet for good reference to make sure the weathering was accurate

I may repost if I ever finish the weathering completely, there's still a few spots I missed that I noticed while editing the photos.

I put way too much effort into this 🤣
This is all @ruuubick_ 's fault, they suggested the idea and then I created.... This...

Saw @msharif3d post their contribution to the @projectdalek forum "dalekalendar", and figured I'd share mine as well.

This year's theme was "Daleks with Jobs" and I'm fairly happy with how this turned out, even if it could use a bit more refinement by @jspectre3d

Rather than post a whole bunch of separate posts and reels, here's a nearly 6-minute showreel of my 3D work from 2022 up to now.

Figured it was about time I finally posted this little beauty.
This kit started as a 1/24 Tamiya 66' VW Beetle, and through an enormous learning curve has become Herbie as we see him in Herbie Goes Bananas, but a bit more rusted instead of just ocean muck.
The rusty look wasn't always the original intention, aiming for the Herbie Goes to Monte Carlo version, but due to the kit's stock slim wheels it looked more like the version seen in Herbie Rides Again.

Overall I've learned a lot of do's and plenty of don'ts while building this little guy.

And yes I do plan on building another one.

Ok been trying to edit and narrow down all the pictures I took but here's a selection of photos I took at @qmrailworkshops on May 3rd during #planestrainsandautomobiles
@queenslandrail need to show this stuff off more and the brilliant workers who take care of it all.
Amazed to see the Blue Baby so much closer to completion. Cannot wait to see her in steam again.
Getting access to such a restricted and hidden portion of this site was an absolute thrill, not to mention the incredibly passionate people I got to talk to.

1/350 Millenium Falcon model kit
Honestly amazed at how this has turned out. Entirely painted with Tamiya paints, Tamiya primer and a couple of graphic markers because I kept losing the stickers. Honestly a very good kit for anyone starting out or just a good canvas for practicing weathering.
