My friend Jena Kirkpatrick and her team are busy getting ready for their second annual fundraiser for this organization. Those who have been through the grief process will understand why we need a shift in thinking about how long survivors of loss need to regroup.

Yesterday, Sept. 29, was birthday of my late husband, Jack Sallis, pictured at son Bill’s UT graduation. Jack was a fabulous stepfather to my twin boys & loving father to our daughter Sarah Jane.
He & I married in 1974 after meeting at Gilley’s. We had many good times until he passed Labor Day weekend of 2000 at Barton Springs pool at Zilker Park in Austin. As we waited in line to get into the pool area, he told a reluctant friend Jane that she absolutely had to brave the chilly waters because it was a very special place, “like a portal to another world.” RIP Jack Roy Sallis. by @jsuesallis

This Sat. 8/3 at Radio on Menchaca Rd. this combo will play! Parking in back is tricky to find, but bigger area than our front. Hot stuff (no doubt.)
