Nothing goes on around Prairie Springs except for the fact that Prairie Springs is everything.

I think the fact that I’ve been trying to write this caption for 30 minutes speaks to the fact that making a new musical in three weeks is too large an experience to capture in words.

So we’ll try, and know it won’t be enough, but the trying is what matters. None of it exists without Billy, whose whole heart is in every note and every word of this show. None of it budges without Tommy, whose steadfast commitment to excellence somehow made a three-week fever dream feel like a luxury. None of it sounds the way it does without Matt, who pulled a full orchestra out of five people and pure will. None of it moves without Courtney, who constructed a whole language out of bodies and timing. And none of it happens at all without this cast, who showed up and made magic in a fly-infested rehearsal pavilion. I am so unbelievably lucky, and so unbelievably tired, and so unbelievably proud.

Composer, Lyricist, Bookwriter: Billy Recce (multi-talented, multi-hyphenate, highly competent, kind, what can I even say?)
Director: Tommy Ranieri (the vision, the hype, the professionalism)
Choreographer: Courtney Liu (fascinating conversations and even better dancing)
Music Director: Matthew W. Surico (king of making a 5 piece sound like 20)
Orchestrator/Arranger: JT Kaufman
Scenic Designer: @Vincentgunndesign (no one could make a dry pool look so wet)
Costume Designer: @bren_bash (delightfully chaotic, costumically gifted)
Wig Designer: Holly Romero (Have you watched JLB in mercon yet?)
Lighting Designer: Samantha Weiser (lighting GENIUS!)
Sound Designer: Evan J. Lettieri (audio wizard)
Props Designer: Ryan J. Birnbaum (the J stands for your theatre in the woods)
Production Manager: @thomasjcoppola (a positive presence from the back of the house)
Technical Director: @l.m.francis1 (the best person to meet at 5 am on the deck)
Production Stage Manager: Julia Gangemi (Stage Manger)
Assistant Stage Manager: Umaya Loving (starts swaying at song 10)
Assistant Stage Manager: Marilisa Kroon (manages unusual traffic patterns)
