I am grateful, I am sickeningly happy. But I am tired, and that’s okay. We’re halfway through 2026 somehow. But this has undoubtedly been the most creatively challenging and fulfilling year of my life thus far, and I am grateful to each and everyone who has been a part of it. Protect your energy, stay hungry, and have FAITH! 🎹❤️🔪 by @jtstreiff

What can I say? I’m just so grateful for the support, and the opportunity to live life in the present, flaws and all. I’m still working on being kind to myself, but I know in time it will come if I continue to work at it daily. All I know is that I know nothing. There’s no point of smug clarity, and I have so much more to learn, and so far to go.

I love you all. If you’re struggling, please don’t hesitate to reach out. There is a solution. ❤️🎹🔪

Some news for you all. After 6 years at O+O Hospitality, and having worked multiple positions at all of their restaurants, I will be stepping away at the end of November. This is a personal decision, and not one I made lightly.

When I moved back to St. Louis in 2019, after 11 years in Chicago, Olive + Oak was the only restaurant I had interest in working for. In return, they have given me so much. It’s hard to put into words how much this group of people means to me.

In early 2021, it was clear to my superiors and coworkers that my drinking had become a problem, and that my life and wellbeing was in serious danger. I was given chance after chance to get help, and after another relapse, they gave me the space and time to seek treatment in 2022, and were gracious enough to retain me. All I can say is this: thank you for saving my life, allowing me to me rebuild relationships, and building a life I no longer wish to escape from.

Special shoutouts to Mark Hinkle, Emily Wymore, Kaleigh Brundick, Haley Christindis, Victoria Burke, Molly Aceves, Brooke Clinton, Jesse Mendica, and Mike Risk. Thank you all so much for helping me when I needed it most, and how to navigate the hospitality industry with integrity, care, and grace. I’m truly grateful and blessed to know you all.

As far as my future is concerned, I’ve stepped aside in order to focus more on my music career, and to continue to be a full time employee at Parker’s Table. With O+O, I’ll still be an integral part of booking entertainment for the patio and other events, and you’ll still see me playing with my musician friends on the patio from time to time. Ben’s Friends meetings (a support group for sober hospitality workers) will still be held every Monday at 11 AM.

Again, thank you Olive + Oak, for so much. I love you dearly, and this isn’t goodbye, it’s see you later.

Protect your energy, stay hungry, and have FAITH.

- Taylor ❤️🎹

We’re less than a week away from this amazing event celebrating the recovery community of St. Louis! On Sunday 9/27, it’s the return of Recovery Fest! Big thanks to @jim3066 and @aaronjennermead for asking me to be a part of such a special day!

I’ve got some amazing musicians (who I’m proud to call my friends) joining me for a great set of some of my favorite songs! Our set is from 2:00-3:30, and it’s FREE!!

I’m grateful for 4 and a 1/2 years of continuous sobriety, and I can’t think of a better way to celebrate, playing music for and surrounded by so many people that help me on a daily basis!

My friends:

Neil Salsich on guitar and vocals 🎤🎸
Matt Rowland on guitar 🎸
Frido on bass guitar 🐟🎸
Mike Murano on drums 🥁
Myself on keyboards 🎹

This has been the most artistically challenging and collaborative year of my life, and I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity I get to make music, eat and cook great food, and to continue do it all with honesty, integrity, and intention.

Y’all mean more to me than you know. I’m only allowed 20 photos in a post, so please don’t feel left out if you don’t see yourself there. Grateful for a full cup, and a life of purpose!
