Thank you to everyone who sent me love letters and showed support for my first marathon! 💌✨

And a special shoutout to my coach @damercado87 @mercado_coaching_services because I really am a basket case and could not have finished without his encouragement and guidance

Now that it’s over, it feels absolutely wild to reflect on my relationship with running and how it’s evolved…
▫️ 1988 - 2024: active disdain for the sport
▫️ Sept 2025: humbled by 2-3 mile easy runs
▫️ Dec 2025: on death’s door after first half marathon
▫️ May 2026: smiling and yapping through first full marathon? At elevation? And planning the next one? Who is she!

Can’t wait to see how things unfold 🙂‍↕️ And lmk if you think 2027 should be my Ironman year lol taken in Ogden, Utah by @ju.ju.baker

TRUE STORY: this photo was taken three years ago. And we, the team at Brothy, just sat on it because we wanted to design/print the perfect cookbook.

A million things came up, and we never got around to making that perfect cookbook… but every time I went into my Google Drive I thought, “These pictures are just too good to rot here.”

So maybe there can be a circuitous moral about the very real, very soul crushing weight of perfectionism and self-inflicted expectations. Throw caution to the wind! Post like it’s 2014! Live la vida loca!
