Bradurday Bachelor Party w the boys. Played golf (we won the scramble at -6 ⛳️) and yard games, had a basketball tourney, swam, ate a bunch of ice cream & lit bon fires. Love Lake Huron + summer time in Michigan. Special thanks to @dronebyjordan for taking all these awesome photos 📸 by @ju_lianpross
Visited my Seattle Fam in May to see my Amo (niece). I’ve lived here w one of my best friends Fatin and her family during some of my most difficult months in 2021, so thankful for her and husband Samer (one of my other best friends) for always keeping the door open. Plus, they now have two dogs and a little girl I adore. B7ebcon Albe Ayuna Shokron by @ju_lianpross
Tanaya & Nishal got hitched so I got to wear a kurta and play Torrey Pines ⛳️ Tanaya has been one of my best friends since we met when I lived in hawaii, she kept inviting me to travel w her and she shared all of her friends w me— she’s changed the course of my 30s during a time when I was reinventing my social network. Forever grateful for her and her people. Special thanks to Ashwin + Cory for restoring my faith in male friendships 🫶🏼🍦 Love you all by @ju_lianpross

I haven’t posted in a couple years now because life is crazy and no one warns you about it 👀 most recently a knee surgery took me out for over a year and I was not prepared. The physical limitations, body dysmorphia, depression, rehab and all the other complications along the way led to a challenging experience to say the least. My best friend walked out of my life after 16+ years and now that I’ve spent the last few years abroad I’ve had to rebuild most of what it means to live in Michigan, where I grew up. In May I weighed 242 lbs and today I am able bodied after spending a month in Europe w some amazing friends having legs that work— it’s crazy how much can change w a little time and effort. I’m so thankful to exercise for health as an act of self love instead of from a space of insecurity and being disabled helped me figure that out. Thankful to be able to post a picture of my body on the internet, its lovely to have my hands on the wheel again. hot girl summer is in full effect 💅🏼☀️ #health #healing #love #brat #summer #HAGS #gratitude by @ju_lianpross

I’ve finally found that familiar sense of peace again, funny enough that’s what “La Paz” means in Spanish—the first time since I left hawaii that I’ve truly felt my heart light. This place feels like a hug. I’m so thankful, I’ll cherish every moment #lapaz #bcs #baja #mexico #travel #explore #healing #gratitude #alchemy by @ju_lianpross
Lots of change lately, some certainly unsettling. Thankful for moments of bliss, but nothing like a familiar kiss. Floating around the universe on a rock with the pleasure of being sentient, not having a guidebook, embarking on the journey with judgement and expectation following every step. Hopeful to find clarity and harmony, trusting the process of metamorphosis. This past year has been big—Selfish is how some people see me; for my passion in social justice, for my angry communication toward racism (and the anger itself), my support of defunding the police, or willingness to break rules in my personal life. Even in the pursuit of my honest dreams, seemingly misunderstood as looking for something “better.” Truly sorry for the disappointment, but proud of myself for allowing to be imperfect. I’m okay with who I’ve become and okay with the parts that still need to be worked on and healed, also okay being inconsistent. My goal is to continue feeling, as most of my life has been running away from emotions. Albeit flawed, I look in the mirror and am proud of the development, the charisma, the courage. A contradictory coexistence, spectrum oriented inclusivity. My life in a nutshell. “Enantiodromia” the emergence of the unconscious opposite in the course of time—to find balance through experiencing the extremes. To those who I have hurt— I’m sorry To those who’ve I’ve helped heal, I’m thankful for you To my big island ohana, I miss you. Aloha ✨ To my fam and friends in Michigan, I love you. #shadowwork #awareness #growth #forgiveness #acceptance #mentalhealth #tulum #mexico #reflection #journal #metamorphosis by @ju_lianpross
