To say I’m thankful is a short answer. The little girl who wanted every chuck in every color and style is bursting with tears of joy. Thank you @r29somos x @converse for creating this space of representation and highlighting our voices. I hope this inspires other little weird Latinx girls to dream big, own your passion, and remain open to all the possibilities life has to offer.

a pinch of sweetness & a dash of salt

Sometimes in the thick of it all it is so easy to get stuck on the feeling vs the experience. You can elicit anticipation for the good & the bad. How you hold those is entirely subjective to the time and space you observe. This chapter of my life has been stewarded by the moms - gently, lovingly, ferociously, loudly, and unapologetically. I have never felt more love and more purpose then when ushering life in. The Moms Have Got It Going On!! Energy amplifies, it connects us. I don’t take any of that lightly. I pray that I can hold this torch strongly and savagely as those before me have bared its weight so gracefully. Here is my honesty and my humanity, laid out clear. So that it may too find someone else along their path. You are doing incredible things, worthy of all the grace and time it takes to simply exist. I see you and I honor you.

I implore you to remember that there isn’t anything in this world that hasn’t been achieved without a pinch of sweetness & a dash of salt…

Motherhood changes you in ways you can’t even begin to form words for. I’m enjoying noticing all the little details— the soft shifts, the loud awakenings, and the delicious, unexpected gifts of being in no other space than the one you are currently anchored in, with two little curious hands at constant work.

I love being your mom.

To all that have came before me & all that will come after … Thank You! The world is not ready for your power and it will not make room for you, yet you will arrive. You will hit the ground running. You will pave paths for the rest. You will be asked to give all of you and more. You will prevail, and because of such sacrifices we all know love. The deepest most precious kind of love. Thank you to the nurturers, the fighters, the teachers, the protectors, the wise, the patient, the cheerleaders, and the destined few who answer the calling with their hearts open and ready. It is an immense honor to have the privilege to experience such a magnificent purpose. Women are magical , lest we never forget.

Trusted the process 🌿

Safe to say the Olive Limewash from @bauwerkcolour dried beautifully. I’m so happy with the end result — the depth, the texture, the way it brings the whole room to life.

My family gifted me a painting by my cousin, whose work I deeply admire for how he captures and centers Dominican culture and lifestyle. The moment I brought it home, I knew it belonged in my bedroom. A big part of choosing a color became finding something that would honor it — not compete with it.

Now I get to wake up surrounded by all this beauty, while nurturing new life and stepping into the ever-evolving journey of Matrescence.

I’ll be sharing more as this sacred space — and I — continue to grow.
