broken watch era is over!! 🏃‍♀️ as l always say, having gear you trust is so important. I’ll be testing out different gear over the next few weeks to figure out what’s coming with me on race day, but a new and improved watch was definitely necessary 🤝 @suunto - #SuuntoRun2 #MarathonTraining #RunningGear #RunningWatch by @juanafitt

Wining & dining around @waltdisneyworld !!! 🎡🎟️🍷 Having the SWEETEST time experiencing Disney (for the first time!!) with the best people ☺️ & had the honor of running (& walking😆) 13.1 miles in my makeshift Lilo costume 🌺 CHEERS DISNEY 🤍 @rundisney @disneyparks #winedinehalf #disney #liloandstitch #disneymagicmoments by @juanafitt
Another half marathon side quest in the books! 🌺🏃‍♀️ Disney Wine & Dine Half was SO FUN AHH Miles 1–6 were smooth sailing until some nausea hit and things went a little downhill lol. Definitely did more walking than planned, but honestly, what better place to slow down?!! Running through Epcot & Hollywood studios, seeing all the characters, and enjoying the experience instead of zooming through made it worth it! I’ve also never been to Disney prior, so the little girl in me definitely was smiling ear to ear 😭🌺 THANK YOU @rundisney for such a great race experience!! @waltdisneyworld @disneyparks Still marathon training, just collecting half marathon side quests along the way. Steal my marathon training split 🏃🏻‍♀️ This is what works for me! Most weeks look pretty similar, w a mix of easy runs, speed work, long runs, and 2 days of strength training. Mileage and intensity change depending on where I’m at in training, but the overall structure stays pretty consistent! 🙂‍↕️ - #MarathonTraining #RunningAndLifting #StrengthTrainingForRunners #RunningRoutine #MarathonPrep by @juanafitt
I’m playing favorites, sorry 😌🤚 I’ve been incorporating more lateral movements + single leg strength training into my marathon training to work on muscle imbalances! Running is a lot of forward, but I need side to side too! Here’s the leg day: Lateral step ups: 3 x 8–10 each side Supported hip airplanes: 3 x 5–6 each side Single leg RDLs: 3 x 8 each side Lateral lunges: 3 x 8 each side Decline deficit single leg squats: 3 x 6–8 each side I love strength that has purpose behind it 🤌 #StrengthTrainingForRunners #MarathonTraining #RunnerStrength #RunningTips #LegDay by @juanafitt
Movement has always been my way to take care of my mental health, and spending the day with @propelwater at Project Healthy Minds was such a sweet reminder that movement can look different for everyone. 🤍 Many meaningful conversations, finding joy in movement, and remembering to take care of ourselves along the way. Whether that means slowing down, getting active, or staying hydrated with Propel! Movement is mental health! by @juanafitt
La vida es una hermosura, hay que vivirla ☺️ by @juanafitt
4 for 4 - run edition 🏃‍♀️ We learn from our mistakes and keep it pushing! Last training block, I was PUSHING trying to keep my upper body muscle, training for aesthetics, and taking longer to recover as I was lifting a ton on top of high mileage weeks. This time around we’re being intentional and focusing on one thing at a time! Stress is low these days when it comes to the long run / race day routine because I know what WORKS. What shoes, hairstyles, and fuel keeps me going, how much time I need the morning of, etc. & speaking of fuel.. FUEL! Listen to your body of course. But we can’t run on an empty tank. After a long run, you’ll be tired but you shouldn’t be dying! Fuel is there to help you 🤌 A good warm up goes a long way! Your glutes are huge muscles that are helping propel you forward. Make sure they’re warm! 🍑 #marathontraining #runtips #marathontips #marathon #marathonrunner @lululemon by @juanafitt

Except I’m not bored! The same strength days are gonna keep me going at mile 20 of another marathon, so boring it is! ✅🏃‍♀️ Consistency in running, strength training, and trusting the process. The basics work for a reason!! 🙂‍↕️ - - - - #marathontraining #strengthtrainingforrunners #runningcommunity by @juanafitt
