Aprovechando de las aguas cálidas q nos trae la corriente del Niño, aparecen nuevas oportunidades de pesca.

Muy difícil pescarlos con tanta competencia. Los lobos Marinos 🦭siempre están al acecho, pero doble es el entretenimiento, luchar contra el pez y contra sus depredadores es muy divertido, traerlos al bote sin un mordisco es todo un reto.

“When 150 cm Is the Small One” 💯🔥🎣

The smallest Monster Yellowtail Kingfish of a historic trip.

Over several incredible days on this magical island, we landed some truly extraordinary Yellowtail Kingfish of 150 cm (40 kg), 154 cm (47 kg), and 160 cm (44 kg), the last two caught by our teammate @jose_a_vallarino — the last one was later recognized by IGFA as 159 cm and became the new world record.
A fourth giant, estimated at nearly 170 cm, was also landed during the trip. It was measured quickly with a rope, the official IGFA measuring device was on another boat at the time, which was also far away from the boat where the 170 cm fish was caught. Even knowing how special it was, and that it likely could have challenged a record in weight as well, the decision of the anglers on that boat was unanimous: chose to release it. It was an extraordinary fish, and none felt it was right to sacrifice something like that for a record.
NO RELEASE NO GLORY

Records are special, but some moments are bigger than records.

At that time, the previous IGFA length world record was 149 cm. That means all of these fish were above that mark, and the 160 cm fish later became the new official record at 159 cm after verification.

¡Felicidad insaciable! 💯🔥🎣

Volvimos al Pacífico colombiano en busca de los atunes gigantes. Nos tocaron dos días de clima muy duro, con lluvia intensa y fuertes tormentas, pero como después de la tempestad siempre llega la calma, disfrutamos de 2 días espectaculares de pesca. 💯

Aunque esta vez no encontramos a las verdaderas bestias, tuvimos la oportunidad de pescar muchísimos atunes de muy buen tamaño. Además, nacieron nuevas técnicas de pesca (¡Castfast! 😂) que dieron excelentes resultados.

Qué bien la pasamos @jose_a_vallarino, @stevepeakbetancur y @sportfishing.colombia.

Siempre listos para volver en cualquier momento por esos monstruos que siguen allá afuera esperándonos. 💪🐟

El poder que tienen los Atunes es irreal, las explosiones a la superficie son enormes y las peleas me parece que son de las más potentes que existen.
No puedo estar más contento de haber podido venir a pescarlos con mi hijo @juancapmq__ y con mi brother @patodacal.

Por lo general en el cardumen siempre esta la más depredadora, la Tufa más amarga, la q más pelea da para sacarla, una fuerza descomunal, le llamamos la Negra!, definitivamente la más luchadora.
