To all my friends and all the people that have known me through the almost 19 years of living in the US, my hometown in the Central Western part of Colombia has faced incredible devastation from an earthquake. Almost 70% of its infrastructure is in dangerous and unlivable conditions, I have opened a GoFundMe, the link is in my bio, or you can contact me directly to help with donations through Zelle or Venmo. With these donations and the help of the hardware store in Colombia that me and my brothers own, we will work to provide materials so people can manage to rebuild and make a living condition out of their houses again. This process will take many years and any help will be greatly appreciated. #earthquake #donate #rebuild by @juantaparo

Charcoal on tan paper, 9 x 12”, Untitled / Unfinished
- I worked on this portrait during a figure drawing session. The sitting model had what appeared to be a rosary with an obsidian pendant, this evolved into an illustration of a “skyline” with a volcanic plume. #charcoalart #portrait #artefigurativo #figurativedrawing #retrato by @juantaparo

Charcoal powder and acrylic 4 x 4’ untitled (unfinished)
This started as the woods in front of my house, I wanted to replicate a foggy night we had and there was the light of a lamp that you could see the rays thru the woods, then it evolved into a male face that can be seen thru the woods, with a triangle representing the man.
