Indigenous People's Celebrations Day 10.13.25 ❤️✊️✋️w/ the local Native Kumeyaay Tribe and many more Tribes from all over! I felt at home and at peace all day. Remember the land that you live on is STOLEN LAND. So please appreciate it! 🙏🏻

@sdzsafaripark offered free all day entry to their park with proof of lineage or tribal enrollment. I took the day off from work and took full advantage of that with it also being my first time at a safari park, explored my little heart out, nature walked, said wassup to the animals that are being protected, and got to participate in cultural awareness and activities. Even gave myself lil photoshoots throughout the park 😆

Proud Choctaw & Cherokee Native American woman. Connecting back with my roots means everything to me, especially in modern times where the past is getting lost & slowly forgotten. Growing up Oklahoma raised, attending ceremonies & powwows with my Great Grandpa Choctaw Bill, very much influenced my life, beliefs, & attitude. A lot of people that "know" me, actually don't this this at all about me. It's not something that I represent everyday, but I am still very proud and blessed to be apart of. My tribes have helped me with mental & physical free healthcare, helped me through college, even have helped me with housing & food. Things like this are a huge deal to me as I don't have a big family to help me through this journey, my tribe has always been there for me & it's people! I chose to wear "war" makeup influenced by both Choctaw & Cherokee tribes, but it was actually never known for these women to wear this war makeup, only the men. But, in today's modern world, we women are also now warriors of today's obstacles & battles. It's nothing short of a revolution. Choctaw & Cherokee make up 2 out of the 5 Civilized Tribes that walked The Trail of Tears & were forced to leave their homes. Many Choctaw & Cherokee now reside in Oklahoma, which also translates in Choctaw as "Red People". Today, up to thirty-nine American Indian tribes are headquartered within the state of Oklahoma. It's a state & symbol of hope & prosperity to all tribes.
