What an awesome way to spend the summer!!! God working in real and amazing ways. It was so encouraging to see first hand how faithfully and authentically people are drawing near to God in our generation.

Semester 4🪐
(With some more Greece shenanigans!)

Sophomore year is in the books! This year was CRAZY! I learned and did so much, then I blinked and it was over. Thanks to all the people who made this year amazing, I thank God everyday that I get to be surrounded by people who bear his image so genuinely. by @jucaskabucas

Thessaloniki, Philippi, Kavala, Berea, Vergina, Lichotoro, Meteora, Delphi, Athens, and Corinth.

A little less than two thousand years ago, a short, balding, bowlegged Pharisee made his way throughout Greece, visiting some of these cities. He brought with him a message that Jesus Christ had risen from the dead and that reality is not the same as it was before. In Philippi, he was beaten and arrested. In Thessaloniki, he was driven out of the city by a mob. In Corinth, he was dragged before the magistrates by his own people.

Saint Paul’s message didn’t sit well with a lot of people. But it did resonate with the ones who knew that the way their world worked simply wouldn’t do.

The stories of the empires and their greatness lies in ruins and dusty books. The story of God and his new reality is still being written today in the lives of his people. A real story, with real people, in real places, written by a real God.

This trip was incredible. The people were amazing. The food was new creation itself. I will never forget it.
