I'm happy and excited to have one of my recent collages selected for a national juried show of collages and assemblages at the Bristol Art Museum in Bristol, R.I. The show will be up April 1. Please join me at the artists' reception this Thurs evening 3/10 if you're in the area.

Not that new but not that old. Super-happy with this mixed-media painting, 22x30 on watercolor paper. I totally love layering and removing, seeking & hiding. #contemporaryart #abstractmixedmedia #MAMmontclair #contemporaryartcurator #CVP2022 #FYJ2022 #spark2022 by @judycav1

Thanks to all who came out to visit during Open Studios last weekend at Manufacturers Village! Loved all the conversations & connections. It was a joy to welcome you into my art world. #MVartist #art2life #cvp #abstractpainter #montclairartmuseum #mixedmediaartist by @judycav1

Why do flowers bring so much joy, even (especially) on a rainy afternoon? For me, it’s the colors, beauty, and simple pleasure / their reminder of being rather than doing. Thank you, Avis Campbell Garden & the many Garden Club of Montclair volunteers who make the magic happen. by @judycav1

What does hula-hooping have to do with art-making? Both have everything to do with being uninhibited, having fun & being in the flow of positive energy. Come visit me and see my art at Manufacturers Village in East Orange, NJ next Saturday Oct 17 & Sunday Oct 18. My studio’s in in Building 3, 3rd floor. Lots of other great artists and art to see there. I’d love to welcome you then! by @judycav1

Why do I create? For the joy of it! These 5x7 cards are so fun to make, it should be illegal. I love the size because results come quickly and I can easily pack materials. Have scissors & glue stick, will travel! #collageartist #montclairartmuseum #art2lifeacademy #collageart #nyce by @judycav1

Listening to saved paper scraps allows me to drop into a world of color, alignment, fun, and play. What’s your retreat when nothing else scratches that itch? #art2lifeacademy #collageartist #montclairartmuseum #contemporaryart #nyce by @judycav1

Can’t get enough of making 5x7 cards with scraps! #nyce #collageartist #art2lifeacademy #montclairartmuseum #collageart by @judycav1

I’ve been obsessed with collaging these 5x7 cards. Cannot, don’t wanna stop. What are your obsession(s)? #a2l #montclairartmuseum #collageartist #nycollageensemble by @judycav1

Pleased to have my collage (“Patternology”) selected for the Studio Montclair members’ show. Shown here with artist Terri Binder. Photo credit: Karen Abada. by @judycav1

A great day in the studio yesterday, pushing this one. And now I’m loving this moody & playful mixed-media painting … it could be finished! #art2lifeacademy #contemporaryart #cvp #montclairartmuseum #abstractart by @judycav1
