YTTS Winner #2 Announcement: Jerry Simon!!

And now, the second winner of Your Time To Shine, 3 club juggling edition. This second prize is awarded for the most interesting glow club performance idea.

And the winner is: Jerry Simon!

Jerry is from Luxembourg and is @jugglingjerry on Instagram.

His act is called “The Anglerfish That Lost Its Light”, and it’s a character-based performance with a creature that uses light to lure its prey as inspiration, which is a very good starting point for a glow club act.

The work-in-progress video is full of quirky and surprising juggling inspired by the unusual physicality of this character, and there were multiple moments that made the judges laugh out loud.

In the final version of the show, Jerry wants to use the glow clubs to reveal his face and his personality throughout the routine. He also wants to program flickers and failures into the clubs, giving his angry character even more things to react to.

The winner of this prize was always meant to answer the question: “What act would we most like to see, but wouldn’t be possible without a set of three glow clubs?” While we were impressed by many of the other concept ideas from other entries, this is the act that the judges kept returning to and it ended up at the top of our list.

Jerry wins a set of three glow clubs of his choice, and he is most interested to try Vision Clubs from @flowtoys

So congratulations Jerry Simon, it’s Your Time to Shine!!!
