Beyond the hills it’s cry echoes. A sound so voluminous, those nearby become engulfed with insanity.

I imagine this heron to be giant and worshipped by those that live in the surrounding towns

I haven’t drawn Pokémon in some time now but here are two that I originally was planning to post a while ago :p

Do you want to see the rest of their evolution line, or possibly some more Pokémon <.<

Spiky dude :p

Originally I was going to write something in the pink, but when touching up some of the lines the pen had trouble sitting on top of the paint :/

New bird entered the chat

I may have added too much water to the paper when putting the blue, so it was acting a bit weird :p Though, I’m happy with how the bird came out.

I’m obsessed with this bird 😩

Decided to incorporate more of my love for line art and treat the gouache more like watercolor by doing lighter washes of color over top and then adding a thicker outline around everything. The color choices could’ve been better but I’m happy with the overall result. Might try this style more ;p

What do you think?

New skill unlocked ⭐️

So far it’s only been 4 days since I’ve been learning how to use gouache and it’s been great!

During this time I’ve had some frustrations with how the medium works, but painting has been so meditative and enjoyable that the beginner pains kind of fade away.

Excited to learn more techniques on this journey and share some cool art with everyone 🕺🏽✨

I’d also love to hear from people more familiar with gouache, so leave a comment with any tips and tricks ;p
