Perched atop IFC, A Lux presents contemporary Japanese-European cuisine in a sophisticated harbourfront setting. Its 12-course tasting menu highlights seasonal ingredients, refined techniques and luxurious flavours.

Amuse-Bouche | Three Expressions
Hokkaido scallop, tuna akami seaweed roll and fried perilla leaf with beef tartare offered a creative opening of sweetness, umami and richness.

⭐️A Trio of the Sea
Aji, botan shrimp and torched tuna showcased bright freshness, natural sweetness, buttery richness and a delicate smoky finish.

🤤 Chawanmushi with Hokkaido Uni
Silky steamed egg custard met the briny sweetness of Hokkaido sea urchin in a delicate, luxurious pairing.

😋 La Bouillabaisse with Hokkaido Surf Clam
A French-inspired seafood course combining rich bouillabaisse with the distinctive texture of surf clam.

💯 A4 Wagyu Ribeye | My Absolute Favourite 🥩
The standout of the evening! Richly marbled, incredibly tender and practically melting in the mouth, the Wagyu paired beautifully with smooth mashed potato.

🫶 Abalone Spaghetti with Sakura Shrimp 🍝
A creative Japanese-Italian-inspired dish combining satisfying abalone with the delicate savoury sweetness of sakura shrimp. Another highlight!

Fruit Sorbet & Dessert
A refreshing sorbet provided a light transition to dessert.

😍 Petit Fours | Don’t Leave Until the Last Bite! 🍫
Save room for the chocolate truffle, whose distinctive, authentic truffle flavour made it an unexpected star and perfect finale.

✨ My take: A Lux delivers Japanese finesse, European influence and beautiful harbour views. The La Bouillabaisse with Hokkaido Surf Clam, A4 Wagyu ribeye and abalone spaghetti were my personal standouts, but the petit fours are a must-try too!

A day full of inspiring conversations, meaningful connections and unforgettable moments. ✨

From an intimate meet-and-greet with @davidbeckham Beckham to an exclusive @im8health VIP event featuring David Beckham, IM8 founder @dannyyeung22 , @drdawnmussallem and @NBA Champion & Basketball Hall of Famer @chrisbosh , it was a privilege to be part of an afternoon celebrating the intersection of sport, science, wellness and human potential.

Beyond sporting achievements, the conversations touched on the value of hard work, the importance of surrounding ourselves with the right people, and how taking care of our bodies empowers us to show up as our best selves every day.

Dr. Dawn Mussallem’s extraordinary journey as a stage IV cancer survivor and heart transplant recipient was a powerful reminder of the resilience of the human spirit.

The event also celebrated IM8’s landmark multiyear collaboration as the Official Nutrition Partner of the NBA in Australia and eight markets across Southeast Asia, an exciting milestone for the future of wellness.

@michelleyeoh_official, Cheng Pei Pei and other action stars became a symbol of female empowerment on screen in the 1990s. But female martial artists are still underrepresented in Hong Kong cinema, and according to actress @jujuchanszeto, it’s because men just don’t like losing to women, even in movies.

Most people can easily remember that one positive moment or encounter that changed their lives for the better. For martial actress JuJu Chan Szeto, this encounter happened on a cinema screen as a kid.

“I remember being really proud when I saw Michelle Yeoh in James Bond (1997),” writes Chan Szeto to Tatler Front & Female. “It was something of an acknowledgement to see a Hong Kong actress starring in a major Western film. I was also really impacted by Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000)’s female martial artists, like Yeoh and Cheng Pei Pei.”
