What connects our personal experiences to the collective future we're trying to build?

Join us for Our Collective Story, an interactive workshop led by @jularie Julie Kuwabara (she/her), Program Manager at The Center for Cultural Power @culturestrike Through storytelling, reflection, and community-building exercises, we'll explore how narrative strategy can help move our stories from personal experience to collective action.

Using Marshall Ganz's framework of Story of Self, Story of Us, and Story of Now, we'll uncover the values that connect us, strengthen our movements, and shape the future we want to create.

Together, we'll explore:

Following the success of our first Cultural Response Cohort, our Cultural Organizing team is excited to announce the expansion of this initiative. This year, we are welcoming two new groups of innovators to help shape and inspire our civic engagement narrative work.

Please join us in celebrating the members of our Spring Cultural Response Cohort: Bertram Williams aka Big Farma (@bertrambuilds), Candice Antique (@candice_antique), and Marlené Nansi Lopez, Public Artivista (@artfullmarlene)!

Cultural Response is a three-month initiative that unites a cohort of artists, culture bearers, and community organizers. Their mission is to amplify the voices and practices of those currently envisioning a more compassionate democracy. By developing short-form digital content rooted in world-building and joy, the program tests the capacity of art to expand our collective sense of what is possible.
