dear 2024,

2024 felt a little like a step backwards. although, sometimes you have to take 1 step backwards to go 3 steps forward. there’s a lot i want to do this year and a lot i want to accomplish. i have seen so many of my favorite artists this year it’s actually insane, i’ll love 2024 for that. ive done so many fun things this year with the people i love and ive made life long memories. thank you to my friends for sticking around and always being there for me when i can’t be there for myself. you guys inspire me everyday and i am forever grateful to know you. i love you all dearly. thank you for the memories once again… now be gone and hello 2025! by @juleighvandyke

about 15 years ago my 1st grade teacher sat two girls next each other for assign seats. she probably chose to do this because of the way both of our names are spelled. it’s been history ever since. i moved away from you in 8th grade, then moved states away right before high school. leaving you behind was the hardest part. you are the one person i have in my life that will never go away. we could go months without talking then hop on facetime like we never stopped. all the memories we have together that range from making stupid youtube videos, singing in talent shows together, that time we almost fought each other in 7th grade (HA), 4 wheel driving, and countless sleepovers. i always look forward to seeing you when i visit. we used to cry when we said our goodbyes, but we’re used to it now, we know we’ll see each other again. i love you from the bottom of my heart haleigh. my forever best friend. 🫶🏻 taken in Richmond, Virginia by @juleighvandyke
