The last few weeks have had some of the worst days Iā€™ve had in my entire life. But knitting and crocheting have helped me find my footing and adjust to what has become our new normal, and Iā€™m very grateful for that. Also lots of F1 and Top Gear. ĀÆ\_(惄)_/ĀÆ by @julesknitsstuff

This was such a fun project. Iā€™m already thinking about making another one. Perfect for cooler weather but breathes well enough when itā€™s warm out. My favorite part is the cuffs. I didnā€™t want to crochet them because I knew theyā€™d be too bulky, so I just kinda made some k1p1 cuffs on the fly. Everything turned out exactly as I had originally envisioned, so that was pretty cool considered itā€™s the first garment Iā€™ve ever crocheted and the first garment Iā€™ve had to seam. I still donā€™t know how to feel modeling with finished objects so you all get selfies. Are we still doing hashtags? Iā€™m sure crocheters are at least, none of us ever know whatā€™s going on (affectionate). #hexicardigan #crochet #grannysquares by @julesknitsstuff

Uggggh so ok. I have been sidelined from crocheting due to a weird thumb injury that has made a lot of my hobbies very awkward and difficult and I am OVER IT. I had thought by now Iā€™d be good to go but unfortunately I am going to have to go back in for another procedure and will probably need stitches. Itā€™s a pyogenic granuloma if you are curious but itā€™s a super disgusting google search. But I guess I can still knit with no issue so I dug this cowl out to work on for my husband. If you had told me I would be more into crocheting than knitting a few years ago I would have laughed at you but I feel like a lot of the crochet designs coming out are so cute and fun and I havenā€™t been getting as inspired by knitting? Itā€™s very weird. My go-to was always socks but I donā€™t need more at this point. But I also feel like my tastes have changed so maybe I need to just likeā€¦ archive a few pairs or something? I have so much yarn and a lot of it I have had for years and isnā€™t something I would pick out for myself today. Just another reason I donā€™t believe in stashing yarn haha. But I have this cowl to keep me busy I guess, and I canā€™t do a whole lot else right now so thatā€™s fine. Even typing on my phone is hard; I definitely typed this all out on the notes app on my macbook. also, I tried seaming two granny squares together for my blanket and it went SO BAD. I think bc itā€™s just weird doing fiddly stuff with a bandaged thumb but also I do suck at seaming. So thatā€™sā€¦ going to be interesting once I get back to that blanket. by @julesknitsstuff

Finally pulled the trigger on a scrappy sock blanket and having a lot of fun with it. The only thing is when I finally went to weigh the yarn I have, I realized I wonā€™t have enough for the blanket size I want soooo I might do up a few pairs of socks šŸ˜… I honestly canā€™t remember the last time I finished a pair and I have so much yarn still. by @julesknitsstuff
